"Close to town centre and public transport"
Lovely large room. Very clean, with all the usual facilities. Very pleasant staff. Interesting building. As I travelled there by train it was very convenient as just across the road from the station. However there was of course noise from traffic and I wasn't very keen on hearing the singer from the pub across the road each night. It was a short walk to the town centre but you could also take a bus right outside the station. I would be happy to stay there again, however I would want a room that wasn't just off the stairway as noise carries up from reception where I was on the first floor, and there were some noisy people at 2 am one morning in particular. Overall, though, a lovely hotel.

"Overnight stay to catch morning flight"
Hotel rooms were comfortable with adequate space. Mattresses were comfortable, although bed covering was smotheringly warm for summer. Hotel shuttle picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, which was ha day. Reception lines were excruciatingly slow both when checking in and leaving. We ate evening meal in the lounge restaurant, which looked more casual than the main restaurant. The staff were very friendly, but the service was slow, and the food was not very tasty.

"Nice hotel in perfect city centre location "
We stayed here for three nights for a city break and a visit to North Wales. Hotel is perfectly located in the city centre but still has excellent car parking facilities by using the adjoining Grovesnor Shopping Centre. Couldn't be more central. Room was ok small but ok, internal doors very light and no soft close suppressor when shutting so could hear people accidentally slamming these all night. Bathroom getting dated, shower curtain was looking a bit grubby on the generally wet areas and no soft close on the toilet. Would expect better for a 5 star. Drinks of course expensive as was the optional extra breakfast but being in the city you could get a great breakfast and drinks within a couple of minutes walk. All in all a 4 out of 5 but would definitely use if returning to Chester

"Good value and close to amenities"
Like the concept of an aparthotel, particularly close to a city centre. The hotel and staff were great and clearly geared up to ensure that their clients are happy. Thought the heated mirror in the bathroom was a neat idea & other hotels should take note.We only stayed one night, but if all of the Roomzzz hotels are like the Chester hotel, would definitely stay there again.

"Swings & Roundabouts"
This hotel has wonderful staff and the rooms were big but the hotel definitely need updating. They ran out of supplies, i.e no bitter, no baileys, no lamb, no skimmed milk which for an hotel was not acceptable. The sports bar was not open so there was nowhere to sit on an evening except the restaurant bar which is not very big and not really a place you want to be sat while people are eating especially with childrent, or you can go out in the reception area and sit there. There is not a lot for kids to do except to go for a swim, they could do with some kind of play area for the children to run some energy off, but the location was good for the Zoo etc.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
