Amazing staff and views to go along with it. Upgraded to the suite and it was well worth it. You would think youre in Hawaii...... we didnt want to leave but reality does hit back. Oak restaurant was top notch also! Must go to!

"Awesome Location! Close to the beach and harbor!"
Overall, the hotel was charming! The building and rooms were cute. I loved how it was indoor-outdoor. Nice that they offered a light breakfast in the morning. Our room at clearly been updated, which was nice. It was cozy with a good sized bed, cute bathroom, table/fridge area and a balcony. Our room was a little noisy at night because of a nearby bar and restaurant, but overall very enjoyable.
We did not expect to pay for parking, so come prepared for that!
The hotel was so close to beach, we could see the ocean from the balcony. It's right by the pier and close to harbor. The area had a lot to do!

- Hotel is has a fit and finish of a quality beach resort, rather than luxury hotel
- Front of house and restaurant staff helpful and professional
- 25 USD daily resort fee might be good value for holidayers, but not for business travellers like me who didn't use any of the facilities
- Restaurant was expensive (USD 10-15 for an appetiser, USD 20-30 for a main course) which is something consider if going on holiday with family
- Mini ironing board in the room was impractical for the needs of business travellers

The hotel is in a great location and the price was excellent. The sound proofing between room is pretty weak so you can hear your neighbors. They also say they service continental breakfast. That consisted of coffee with packaged muffins or granola bars. I have stayed at other Extended Stays with a much better breakfast. You can walk over to the bagel place and Starbucks on MacArthur.

We wanted to stay one more night in Newport, so we booked at the last minute and we were pleasantly surprised. There is a little plane noise but other than that the room was very nice and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and made recommendations.

We loved our stay at the Bayshore. There were so many special touches at this hotel, like the fresh baked cookies, fresh fruit and water in the room, breakfast included and natural bath products. We weren't able to take advantage of the rooftop patio and beach supplies because of the weather, but it's great to have those available. Warren was an excellent host. The location was also great--a block from the beach and boardwalk, a few minutes walk from lots of great restaurants. A long but manageable walk to Balboa Pier.
Loved this place!

The hotel was perfect for us. We had a lovely room, overlooking the ocean. I could sit on the bed and watch the surfers and birds. The decor was Victorian with a touch of bordello. The staff, particularly Mariana, were so very helpful. The hotel is very centrally located with a lot of things to do and see. Across the street is the Dory Fishing Fleet Market, which was fascinating to see. The walk along the Balboa Peninsula was beautiful. The Farmer's Market on Sunday was small, but delightful.
Many people have commented on the noise. We visited in March, so it wasn't peak season. Even so, people were going back to their cars after dinner and we could definitely hear them if they were talking loudly. Fortunately, I am a sound sleeper, but some might be bothered by the noise. Also, the room itself was noisy during the day, with heating/air conditioning hums. That noise stopped at night. I slept very comfortably and I loved waking up to seeing the waves out my window.

Newport Beach's affluent population frequents the three-mile-long Balboa Peninsula, home to a picturesque waterfront pavilion and the Balboa Fun Zone, an arcade with carnival rides, shops, restaurants, and the Newport Harbor Nautical Museum. Nearby Newport Pier includes the Dory Fishing Fleet and Fish Market, where fishermen sell their daily catch to the public each morning on the shore.
