"Nice new hotel, accommodating staff"
Hotel is brand new but a further distance from the downtown area. Has 2 burner stove top, full size fridge and microwave in room but no cooking utensils. The utensils(pots, cutlery, dishes, etc) has to be rented from hotel. Has a Dairy Queen and IHOP one block away, small grocery store with deli 2 blocks away. New Fred Meyer store 4 blocks away with a full deli/grocery for hot food, sandwiches groceries, etc along with a Starbucks within it. There are a few good restaurants in the area but need transportation to get there.Hotel staff was absolutely excellent in providing transportation to/from airport, to/from train station and to restaurants. They were courteous and went out of their way to accommodate the hotel clients.

"Nice hotel in downtown Anchorage."
We liked the hotel. It was very accessible to what we wanted to do in downtown Anchorage. We could walk to most things, and we enjoyed the coastal trail for morning runs. The only problem with the hotel was the train that blew the horn at inconvenient times & disturbed sleep.

"Convenient location "
Inlet Hotel is a comfortable place. Staff was friendly. Our room had a hot tub in the bathroom. They should have a step to get into it. The jets were not positioned well.

"Good location "
Overall not a bad hotel. Close enough to downtown that everything is within a 5-10 minute walk. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were able to point out places of interest in downtown and good places to eat. Rooms were quiet and clean, just plain, a few paintings or picture on the wall would lighten up the place. You do have to get dishes and kitchen supplies from the front desk. Breakfast is "grab & go" which means it's coffee, prepackaged muffins, granola bars, and oatmeal. Not what I thought was going to be there after looking online. Overall a great location, and clean rooms. Staff was great, would stay here again.

    Explore Anchorage

Alaska's biggest city (by far) brings the goods when it comes to the great outdoors. The midnight sun shines in summer and the northern lights flicker in winter. Yes, those are beluga whales chattering in the bay beside the bike trail. And that is a moose nibbling the shrub beside your car.

The laid-back metropolis spreads far in the shadow of hulking mountains. To get a nature fix, walk or cycle the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. It departs downtown, and soon you're in the woods spotting wild creatures. Flattop Mountain rewards hikers likewise. The Anchorage Museum stuffs galleries with formidable landscape photos and indigenous weapons. The Alaska Native Heritage Center features artists' studios and model villages from the state's 11 major cultures.

When you’ve worked up an appetite, downtown is the bulls-eye for java-pouring cafes and traditional seafood dinners. Midtown bustles with office workers, university students and casual restaurants. Spenard boasts ethnic eats, edgy boutiques and live music. Sweet beer bars hide among the big-box retailers and residences of South Anchorage.
