We were excited to spend the night there when arriving for a week in anchorage and this was a nightmare. First they wouldn't check us in 20 min early, thought we would have lunch in front of lake, was dirty, and looked unsanitary, we left to have lunch came back, gave us a room with view to the wall of the next building, there was trash in all the hallways, and dirty beds. No room service, room dirty, not very friendly staff. Overall nightmare. For $500 a night thought it was a totaly rip. We don't normally leave bad reviews but this was so bad had to say something.

This place needs some serious remodeling. It’s looking very tired. We were on the first floor and I could smell cigarette smoke from the smokers outside. And the carpeting all over the facility really needs to be changed. I walked everywhere with my shoes on. The unit was also very loud. Beds were saggy. We booked a king room and they gave all those away so we ended up with two queen beds and on the first floor.We won’t be staying here again.

Needs work to match price

The service is great, your restaurant is very nice with good food. It looks remodeled. The rooms and hallway are old. The rooms and hallway need to be remodeled. The beds were very hard, which isn’t good for sleeping very well. Tub and shower were old as well. For $430 for the rooms, way over priced. aC is horrible and you have to choose if you want air, then the curtain has to be open and light is in the room in the morning. So no sleeping in!

I’m not quite certain why this place gets so many bad reviews. It’s how it’s described. Not fancy, solid rooms, comfy beds. It’s pretty basic for a mid-range hotel. We did not have a view but that didn’t matter for us. We had been looking at Alaskan mountains for 10 days. If you are high maintenance, you may want to stay elsewhere. If you are laid back, this place is solid.

Was very cool location next to the seaplane port. Was woefully understaffed, shuttle took 1.5 hrs to pick us up, room check-in too almost 2 hrs, then did not get room we reserved, but a downgrade, never got room service or bucket of beer we paid for. Had to speak to a manager to get anyone to acknowledge any problems, but still did not get any resolutions. Would not recommend this hotel.

This should not be a milleneum property. it is not up to par. The staff are surly and rude, the floors throughout the property were disgusting. Our room was clean and nice, but the second you left your room, really bad shape. Window air conditioners in each room, which also does not seem par for a Milleneum. Mostly the staff is what killed it for us. So, so bad. For an area so reliant on tourism, some level of effort should be made to at least smile at your guests. Instead we were greeted the second we walked in the door to check in with a front desk agent glaring at us, then saying "its going to be a minute", then about 30 seconds later saying "it's going to be a lot more than a minute" (there was noone ahead of us). When she finally decided to help us, about 5-10 minutes later, while we just stood there waiting, she was cranky and short with us. It went downhill from there, sadly. The float plane landing field was amazing though, so that part was good.

Rooms not ready 2-6 hrs after 3:00pm check-in time

Check in was awful. Room wasn’t ready 2 hours after check in time of 3:00pm. Friends we were travelling with could only get their room at 9:00pm! Cleanliness was gross! Toenail on carpet in lobby for 2 days; hair from prior guests on bath. Housekeeping is obviously a major issue and I was told they are short staffed, including just one person at reception at time of checkout this morning.
