TL;DR: If you are looking for a clean, cheap, safe, and discreet place to stay while shopping or visiting, this is a great option. If you are looking for an upscale place that will impress, with a pool and stuff to entertain the kids, look elsewhere. I have stayed here many times now, as it is the least expensive safe hotel in Eau Claire. For those thinking about booking here, here's the skinny. Pros: It's clean (except for glass on outside doors), pets stay free, the staff is good, it's in a great location with lots of walkable restaurants and such, it's right across from the hospital, it has lots of parking, and the AC is fantastic. Cons: it's not the quietest (but not loud), it's a little dilapidated, the hallways tend to have a weedy aroma, and the landscaping leaves something to be desired.

This was our 2nd stay here. We love the history of the house. Breakfast was amazing! She was able to accommodate my gluten free spouse.
