Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The bar area was lovely and had a good atmosphere. Rooms were clean and well presented. Loved the old quirks around the building! Would recommend.

"Lovely Lake Vyrnwy Hotel"
Same day booking as I was touring the area on my motorbike and everything was absolutely perfect! I was lucky enough to get the last available room which was a superior lake view double room. Pay the extra £££s as it's is breathtaking. All staff were extremely helpful during my stay. I can't wait until next time! :-)

"Lovely hotel but mix up with the room we booked!"
We stayed for one night due to attending the local rally school the next day, we found the hotel easily and it was in a gorgeous rural setting, be careful of the sheep that like to lie in the road as you approach! When we arrived we were welcomed and put in the sapphire room, however we had paid £10 extra to have the cranberry room, so I went and found the hotel owner Debra and she informed me that she had taken another booking for the room after ours for 3 people, so she moved us into a diffferent room, I challenged the fact that I'd paid an extra £10 for that room on Expedia but she told me all her rooms for £90. Apparently she had emailed me to inform me of this, which I later found in my junk folder from a week previously, which said the room move was because of maintenance, which wasn't the case! I was disappointed in the way this was handled. However I can't fault the service we received the following morning, we woke to beautiful views of the countryside, the room we stayed in was clean and well presented, with a huge ensuite and all the necessities you would need (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tea, coffee, biscuits, bottles of water and a good hairdryer). We went down to breakfast early and were looked after straight away, ordered a full welsh breakfast from the menu, which was delicious, and could help ourselves to a spread of continental options. Debra was very friendly and definitely fed us well! She is also very well informed about the local area.

"Comfy room and nice lunch package for our walks"
With the rooms directly above the bar you don't have peace and quiet until the bar closes. However, just join them. Friday night was busy, Saturday not. Lunch packages are available for walkers which makes it easy. They also serve meals but we didn't take advantage of that. Would stay again if in the area.

Mid-Wales is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Mid-Wales, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Mid-Wales hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
