This hotel is located just outside the walls of the city. We walked everywhere! It was a great location......just steps away from the Citadel and the Parliament building. That being said, it is not a romantic getaway hotel. It is attached to the convention center, so it is very impersonal, filled with business people and meeting venues. The hotel staff were wonderful, could not do enough to help us. Claudine, the front desk clerk, even took my phone number and texted me each day to see if we needed anything. That was a first!
On my next trip, I would like to try a smaller hotel, maybe a B and B inside the city, just to get more of the charm that is Quebec. However, that takes nothing away from the Hilton.

"Mostly a good experience in a very good location."
For the most part things were fine, but we did have some issues.
The second night there the air conditioning unit, even when set to off, whistled like a tea kettle for hours on end. They did fix it and we had no other bad nights.
The Valet service was very unorganized. They say call 5 or 10 minutes before you need your car. But numerous times no one picked up there so it bounced to the front desk. You tell them no one is picking up at Valet and they transfer you right back to Valet, where no one picks up again and you go back to the front desk...
On the last day there was no valet service as they were on strike and we were only told this when we turned up to get our car. They told us we had to take our bags into the garage where they park the cars ourselves.

Had a great holiday in Toronto and Quebec.
Niagara falls is awesome and Niagara on the lake is a quaint small town. Both are a must see! Toronto is a great city, with lots of restaurants, bars, shopping centre etc. In contrast Quebec has a nice old town with plenty of places to eat, and shops for souvenirs. The b&b in Quebec was in a nice clean quiet area, near bars, restaurants, cafe's etc.

"Fantastic boutique hotel and a great neighborhood "
What a find! The hotel is located directly across from the Museum of Art on the main street leading into the walled city, which is a 15 minute walk. Cartier St. is right around the corner and is where all the locals go for shopping and dining. We found this neighborhood was better than staying with all the tourists in the old city. We loved the hotel and the staff. It is a fun combination of funky and contemporary with beautiful art work and decor throughout the common areas and rooms. We stayed in Suite 306 on the 3rd floor, which is the largest room and was very comfortable and had a private balcony. The suite is made up of five rooms including a separate bedroom, which would be perfect for children. A special shout out to the staff. Jackie with the cool glasses at the front desk is a sweetheart and was so friendly and welcoming. However, the star of the show is Pierre, who serves breakfast and is wealth of information about anything and everything about Quebec. His suggestions were spot on and he is very intimate with the shops and restaurants where the locals go. Don't hesitate to ask him any questions because he is very happy to share information about his city.

The room and especially the bathroom need some serious renovations.
Everything was functional in the bathroom but very drab and outdated.
The beds and especially pillows were heavenly.
There were no toiletries which I found disappointing.
Very helpfull, curteous staff.
A wonderfull time and stay.

We were a bit disappointed with our stay. Considering it was a long weekend pretty much everywhere else in Canada but Quebec, we expected better service and better preparation, Especially for what we paid for one night!
The receptionist was rude and didn't explain things properly at check-in and there was a leak in the ceiling in the lobby which wasn't being contained - there was just a wet floor sign.
As for the rooms, there were spiderwebs on the lamp in the bedroom and there was a stain on the light switch in the bathroom.
Breakfast was by far the worst experience! it was a very small dining room - only held about 24 people. They essentially only offered bread, but only had a 4 slice toaster which all the guests had to wait for their turn. I expected more selection and better facilities. There were people waiting their turn in the hallway for a table, and one couple next to me took their teenagers breakfasts up the rooms because there was no where they could sit.
I thought the hotel would be charming, seeing as its a converted townhouse, but it was just semi-rundown and nothing spectacular.

Very conveniently located, moderately priced, parking on site, lovely breakfast for an extra $10. Easy walking distance to the old city. Stayed in the room (202) for which the bathroom is across the hallway - we were a bit anxious that it would be inconvenient, but in the end it was absolutely no problem. The bathroom was our own private room, bathrobes were provided, really no issue at all. Hotel spotlessly clean, bed very comfortable, staff extremely helpful.

Quaint hotel with lots of character about 2km from the old city walls. Easy walking distance to anything in the old city which made it a great location. Rooms are small but adequate and comfortable. We were upstairs which would not have been suitable for someone with mobility issues.
Staff were excellent and very helpful in either English or French.
Breakfast was a basic continental style with limited options but we were equating so well at other times it worked for us.

Upper Town, located mostly within the walls of Old Quebec, occupies the crest of Cap Diamant and overlooks the Saint Lawrence River. Most buildings are at least 100 years old and made of granite in similar styles. Great Lakes freighters and ferries can be seen from Terrasse Dufferin, a pedestrian promenade. Other Upper Town attractions include Château Frontenac and Place d'Armes.
