"Excellent hotel. Ideal location for major sites"
Our second stay in Florence. This hotel although located near the popular ponta vecchio is a tranquil haven. Breakfast is good, with a broad range of food available, friendly staff from cleaners to main desk. The hotel is ideally located for most attractions. We used rooftop bar one evening, quite pricey but nice place to relax. Would recommend. Two cats, Gin an Tequila wander freely around the hotel.

"Great Hotel must stay. "
Great location as it is close to the trains but you cant hear them. you close to all the main attractions but far enough away that you don't have to deal with the crowds. One of the best breakfast that we found on our trip.

"Great location within easy walk from the station."
We had a great time here from the first moment we arrived (02.30). very comfortable room, good shower and soft towels! Copious breakfast for all pallets and diets, and superb uova strapellata always. The hotel is well placed for explorers as it is near S. Marcos in the north allowing one to head off in any southbound route without missing any of the subtly hidden gems in the city of which there are many, with il Duomo always looming in view along the high narrow streets. First class location.

"Beautiful funky hotel "
Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. 20 minutes walk from the centre of Florence. There is a local bus stop by the hotel that takes you right into the centre. Only issue Is that kitchen closes early on Sunday. Would definitely come back!

"On the edge of city centre"
Lovely hotel. All clean and efficient, staff competent and friendly, stuff worked. Every evening (6-9) the bar (= dining-room) has laid out an assortment of cold food which is free to eat, and you pay only for your drinks: you can eat/drink there or in the adjoining lounge. Very welcome after a day trudging round Florence in the heat. The hotel is within easy walking distance of city centre (c 20 minutes to station, 30 to Piazza della Signoria); but the area it is in is quiet. The rooms are around a central open courtyard, which has various chairs and tables - which I would have sat at but for the insects! The aircon works as if by magic: no noise, I never worked how it operated, but it did! Just as well, as Florence was in mid-30s all day, and c 25 at night; but room was mysteriously cool. I'd recommend it keenly - either to solo travellers, like me, or to couples.

"Best kept secret in Florence"
The villa used to belong to the Duchesse of Aosta. When I stayed last week, I felt like royalty living a simple life in my own Garden Bardini. I had the most memorable experience thanks to the attention to detail from the smiley staff, the delicious breakfast overlooking the Tuscan country side and the enchanting garden that comes to life particularly at night. Grazie millle a tutti!

"Be prepared to be pampered"
Michelin star restaurant is only the beginning of the experience. Choose the tasting menu for a gastronomic adventure of Tuscan cuisine. The more relaxed Taverna beside the pool is also exquisite. Try the papardelle with wild boar, I dare you. As visit to the Espa is a must. Whether you choose a massage, facial or mud wrap, you'llamaba feel like a new person. Service is front and center at this Tuscan treasure. There is virtually nothing the staff won't do for you except control the weather.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
