We were here for only one night due to a train transfer to Rome airport but this was an excellent choice. There is an underground tunnel immediately outside the front door that leads to the train station. Breakfast opened at 7am which was perfect considering most other hotels we stayed at started later. This allowed us to grab a quick bite prior to departure. The area outside can be quite congested due to the train station but it is less than a 5 minute walk to the Duomo and 20-25 minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio. At breakfast ( located at the 5th level), the spread was abundant and we were blown away by the views including the Duomo. There is an outstanding rooftop as well. The room was large by European standards with a very high ceiling and wood coffered. They had complimentary cold drinks and juices in the fridge. All in all, we had stayed here 20 years ago and were very impressed with the updates and the makeover. The staff were all very accommodating and pleasant. Would easily stay here again.

This hotel is very unique and in a very good location. Right next to train station and super close to the duomo. Nice view of duomo at breakfast too. Because it is very old, the rooms are old. Our room had a locked door that we guess connected to another room because we heard every word they said. Otherwise, nice hotel with great location. Would likely stay here again.

This is a beautiful classic hotel near SMN station. I have stayed here many times - it never disappoints. The view at breakfast overlooking Florence is breathtaking! My stay this time was very short but I know I will return soon!

We loved our stay at the hotel Baglioni. It was the highlight of our trip for hotel stays. Lovely wood paneling on the walls, the room and bathroom are gorgeous, amazing complimentary items in the fridge. The staff was incredibly helpful and polite. We were able to leave our bags to explore more museums on our last day and do a cooking class. Simply loved our time here. We can't wait to plan another trip here and enjoy more of Florence.

Excellent location if arriving by train, walkable to all the downtown attractions, friendly staff,decent breakfast, showers were a little clumsy as you have to step into the bathtub which for some people can be challenging
