The room was comfortable and I could get it cool enough. Very pleasant atmosphere and close to amenities.

A beautiful building in wonderful surroundings. There was nothing at all to fault in our stay at Mar Hall. We stayed in one the rooms in The Barn which was a short walk away from the main building and overlooked the golf course. Special mention to the super comfortable mattress and pillows- perfect! The staff were super friendly and helpful and our breakfast on both mornings of our stay were delicious.

Checked in online but no online priority queue as advised in email. Was pointless doing online as saved no time and was still checked in at reception. Paid for upgrade to suite. Room wasn’t a suite. Phoned reception to be told no suites available. Had to request refund 3 times. Mould in bathroom. Breakfast was lovely.

Beds were very firm and uncomfortable. Main bathroom toilet was not clean. Road noise is very loud- difficult to sleep.

There were cobwebs all around, the property was an old house with single glazed windows, dirty linen and sorry to say very poor hygiene. I went with my family for a holiday experience in Glasgow and was totally let down. The property is not maintained at all.

This hostel is for the 30 under crowd. No quiet lounge area. Basically it was a fully stocked bar. Pool table. Some tables etc. Shower door wouldn't lock. Door to pod room squeezed loudly and shut loudly. That would wake me up all nite. Lockers were very small so couldn't store a medium size luggage. Lots of smokers hangout outside entrance. Didnt see a kitchen. Fridge. Like I said no quiet space. I checked out an hour I arrived. Not happy. Luckily found a great place for similar price around the corner at Queen Street Travel lodge Loved it there
