"A most enjoyable holiday"
From start to finish we had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The trip from the airport was a 15 minute ride, and there is an airport bus that goes into the centre of the city from where you can get on one of the local busses if you need to go further than a short walk with your cases. The hotel was in our ideal location - in between beaches and the shops, and walkable to both. The outlook from our room was over the marina with all the yachts and boats, and the tent like stalls on the front. We got a bus card from reception which we could then charge up with Euros and use on the very easy to use and good bus network when we had had enough of walking. There are more than enough restaurants within easy reach, and enough variety to cater for most tastes if you are not into Spanish food, though of course it is mostly Spanish. We found a few nice places for a light and late lunch having had a late breakfast. For us the big adjustment was the late opening times of most of the restaurants - between 20:00-21:00 hrs - but we adjusted and occasionally found one that opened earlier. The Spanish people were vey friendly and always tried to compensate for the lack of our Spanish vocabulary! Our overall experience was a very positive one, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend such a trip.

"Impressive polished hotel."
A very efficient check in, and a gorgeous room and bathroom, of almost suite proportions, which was spotlessly clean. We had travelled for 4 hours and were so happy to take advantage of the bathroom with its lovely towels and great bath. A room design where the wardrobe and bathroom were separated from the bedroom by a door worked so well to insulate guests from any noise or disturbance. The queen size beds were comfortable in the extreme and the perfect sleep I had set me up for the next day's sightseeing. Breakfast was well laid out with the food being attractively small oversight for us was that the cereal was tucked away on a counter....but then it is a minority breakfast food when the menu contains figs and dates and the most delicious cakes and pastries, as well as the ham and pickles usually on the continental platter. There was good spacing between tables to allow guests to negotiate the dining room without dipping and dripping of tea etc. The public area with newspapers and magazines is lovely , the seats are carefully arranged, the décor is restful and very light...A coffee machine would be a nice addition, but I realise they are expensive. The hotel looked after our luggage all day while were sightseeing, and staff were helpful with tips and hints for our visit to Santander.

"Santander is lovely city to stay in. "
Lovely 6 days. Beautiful beaches and walks. City of Santander very interesting and very Spanish, not much spoken English which was a bit of a problem. Tourist office only dealt with Santander and not surrounding coast or area which was a bit of a problem, until we worked out where we thought we wanted to go to and found the appropropriate bus timetable at the bus station. We had no car. We found visiting Bilbao for the Guggenheim ok, but you needed to book the bus a day or so ahead, as all the early buses (9.00 am.) were full and the next one with some spaces, not many, was at 11.00 a.m. a bit later than we wanted to go, but it worked out ok and was a great museum to visit.

"Very central location. "
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel. We were welcome by the staff on our arrival. The facilities in the room - size, bed, bathroom, storage etc. - were good. The staff were helpful. I would have liked more vegetarian dishes on the menu in the restaurant, or willingness to make something special for a total vegetarian, who eats no fish either.

"Nice hotel close to all"
This is a little hotel in the center of the city. For a couple that only needs a place to bath and sleep I believe is very good, it is clean, silent and comfortable enough. Its situation near train and bus terminals is wonderful and for someone without car has public buses at the corner. Its restaurant and tapas bar in the first floor are very good.

Santander is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Santander, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Santander hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
