"Fun for the novelty of it"
It was definitely great to stay at The Stanley for the fact of what it is and I'm a huge Shining fan, and I loved every second, especially when we were given a 4th floor room. Although, it was quite expensive for what you get if you are not there for the experience. We stayed during summer so the price was higher, it was pretty warm and the room did not have air conditioning. They did provide fans and we used all of them. The jetted tub spewed out black flakes when we turned it on. Maybe it wasn't used for some time though, so we just showered instead. Breakfast was ok, it was quiet and not busy but took over 30 minutes to get some eggs and oatmeal. At the coffee shop, I tried to get an espresso with a splash of half and half over ice and there was a language barrier and they got my coffee wrong twice and ended up with half and half with a splash of espresso. Twice. Im not very picky about hotels and I usually know I get what you pay for, but I was a bit disappointed with our stay hotel wise. Experience wise, it was a blast.

"Very nice hotel "
My family of four enjoyed staying here. These are my comments Pros: excellent breakfast, nice staff, complimentary cookies after 4pm, clean room, nice room decor, convenient to local safeway market, walking distance of estes park marina, close to restaurants and downtown shopping center. Cons: swimming pool is very small, heated pool is told to be around 82 but feels like pool was at 70 degrer fahrenheit, sleeping pillows were too thick and uncomfortable to sleep, gym is small but ok since not too many guests use it

"Excellent Mountain Lodge!"
If you think this is a "cheap motel" think again. We stayed two days at Coyote Mountain Lodge and liked everything about it. When we arrived we discovered our reservation was mistakenly made for a "king room" when actually we are a family of two adults and our son (who is a high school football player larger than both his parents :) PLUS two large dogs! The hostess allowed me to go and see a "suite" which was big enough for us all. We stayed in room 702 which had two queen beds, a new large modern bathroom, and a furnished balcony that was half the size of the whole suite. Our dogs stayed out on the balcony even when it stormed, they did not get wet. We did have to pay additional hundred for the bigger room. It had great air conditioning which was a requirement for us. The grounds were well kept, and clean. I would definitely go back to stay here, especially if they still have the great staff as they do now.

Rocky Mountain National Park is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Rocky Mountain National Park, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Rocky Mountain National Park hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
