"Not as haunted as you wish it was. "
The Stanley is a wonderful hotel and I ranked it as it should be ranked. But you can't go in with unreal expectations. This hotel is almost always booked for some event or another. It's hard to get in and you'll pay for the privilege. They have added another building to try to accommodate more guests. Unless you actually call them to book, there is a big chance you won't get a room in the main hotel. We ended up getting a room in the new building. It is built to look like all the other buildings on the grounds, but is completely modern inside. This wasn't an issue for us at all. We love that sort of thing...but if you want an old victorian room (and a chance to get a haunting experience), you should probably call and make sure the staff knows what you're looking for. Good luck, though...as I said, it's always booked up. Big perk: if you love a European coffee experience, the new building has Nespresso machines in all the rooms. Also, the restaurant is great (but pricey) for dinner...but breakfast (again, pricey), was meh. Go into Estes and eat breakfast somewhere else and get better for less. Other than that, the stay is a wonderful experience.

"Lodge feel-close to RMNP"
Had to move rooms 3x due to my reserved room not being available, which was really inconvenient. One room had a really old restroom with a small shower; water was tepid. My reserved room had a queen size bed & a sofa bed. Room was tiny; couldn't even pull out the sofa bed. The door could barely be opened; one of us had to slide in to one side so the other could get in. No dresser/drawers In room so we had to live out of our suitcases. Room had mini stove (no oven), mini fridge, microwave, DVDs player, iron & board. Microwave was placed up really high. We had to stand on a chair to reach. Staff was friendly and helpful. They turned on fireplace in lobby and provided items for smores some evenings. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available in the AM in lobby. laundry facilities, pool table, board games, DVDs to borrow available. They have a hot tub, restaurant and bar, which I didn't use. Wonderful lodge feel to relax in after spending the day at RMNP. We saw deer and a bunny out on the lawn. One am we saw a herd of elk strolling though town through our window!

"Wonderful stay"
Excellent location, quality and decor of newly renovated rooms , friendliness of staff, amenities (sauna and gas fireplace in 1 king suite), spacious room o river with sweeping views in another. We had a problem after 2 nights in the sauna king suite (fireplace problem). Staff upgraded us to the river suite with a queen vs. king, but fireplace with beautiful views made up for the small bed size.

"Excellent Hotel in Estes Park"
The room was well furnished, had large flat screen TV eg, very clean and spacious. Great hot free breakfast from 6.30am to 9.30am. There was no view from the room but room was easily accessible from ample free parking space they had. Location of the hotel is very convenient, not a walking distance from Estes Park downtown but very close to everything that you may need. Overall, highly recommended and we would stay there again.

"Just what we needed!"
Great lodge right in the heart of Estes. Our room was perfectly clean and comfortable. Would love to come back in the summer to make use of the balcony! I'd like to see them add microwaves to the rooms but otherwise we had everything we needed!

Coyote Mountain Lodge was a great value. We were close enough to town that we could park the truck and walk into town. We also enjoyed having our dog stay with us. I would recommend Coyote Mountain to anyone looking to get away for the weekend on a budget. Great staff and clean rooms.

"Nice, but walls seemed thin. Lots of noise"
The walls seemed thin because we could hear running up and down the hallway and conversations of people next door. Could not sleep because of the noise. I don't think I'd stay here again because of noise. Also, the pool was not as we thought from the photos. It was very small. We did like the restaurant. The food was good and it was convenient to have a place like that in the resort. View was nice too.

Rocky Mountain National Park is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Rocky Mountain National Park, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Rocky Mountain National Park hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
