Lovely clean warm rooms with lots of character. Excellent strong shower.

The location and surrounding area is beautiful ,meals ere good and public rooms were very comfortable and well presented. The main issue and disappointment was that the area was a live building site as construction works were still being carried out on the Spa area, Construction traffic ,materials and staff were everywhere and this caused difficulties with parking and Hotel access when driving. The room we had was nice but the TV did not work properly and with no internet connection viewing choices were limited., There was no remote to operate the air cooling fan (room was very hot). The fan in the bathroom did not work and only one window would open for adequate fresh air. Construction noise started at 6:30 and continued until late afternoon/early evening.I was made aware of the construction work shortly after making my booking but was not anticipating so much work still to be carried out as the latest information supplied stated that the new facility was opening on the second day of our stay, this in fact did not happen and work was still being carried out on our departure date.

The penthouse has much better beds than other rooms here but I still have the same complaint about the coffee. No hotel should ever serve instant coffee. Please just provide a proper nespresso or similar and proper coffee. It’s not that hard but unfortunately most hotels in the UK are like this. INSTANT COFEE SUCKS! Period, full stop.

Lovely hotel- myself and my mother had a wonderful weekend. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming- special shout out to the two gentleman at Siren (manager and breakfast supervisor!) who were extremely attentive. We couldn’t find a dinner option in Newcastle due to the half marathon, and the receptionist kindly phoned around to help us- we ended up at Siren and were very happy about it once seated! The food, drinks and service in Siren is amazing! Breakfast has lots of options on the menu and good breakfast buffet. Only thing about the room and stay was WiFi that was unstable (especially in the evening) which made it hard to do work/etc. And 5G didn’t stretch well to that segment of hotel. If this can be fixed would definitely be useful. Lovely room and bathroom and products- shower is amazing!! Overall wonderful stay and the staff really made it!

Great place to stay

I was there for the Great North Run and the music from the bar was on a different level. It’s clear there is no sound barrier and the noise even from the endless ambulances through the night was disappointing considering I paid over £300 for a room for the night. The staff were apologetic but it was not the high quality experience they promote for the hotel. I was on the top floor so as far away from the noise as possible and it made no difference
