Superb accommodation. Something different. Lovely decor and outdoor seating area. Friendly staff. Great location.

This was a great wee spot. It’s compact but clean and functional. We actually didn’t realise it was all self check-in /out when we booked. You don’t get to meet staff. All instructions are sent to you. Down side was that we were only provided with one large towel and two small ones and when we contacted the property we got no response. We also made them aware that the door handle was loose. Car parking was close by. Property is close to restaurants / coffee shops and city centre.

The room was spotless and spacious. The only drawback was, it was at the front and the traffic could be heard passing through the night. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast was excellant and set you up for the day ahead. We only used the bar on our first night for an evening meal. The food was very good and the Guinness hit the spot. All in all a very good hotel and would stay here again.

The room was nicely appointed but uncomfortably warm due to time of year. A fan was provided but only gives little help and was noisy. Lighter TOG bedding would be helpful in the summer months. Food in the evening was nice but the menu could be a little more expansive when guests are staying several nights. Breakfast was good but not exceptional. The lack of onsite parking is a minor drawback but as charges are relatively cheap in the nearby public car park this is not a serious issue. The staff were very helpful.

Excellent service, beautiful historic property in perfect location, great food and bar. Could not be better.
