"interesting grounds"
Very nice resort. Good location and the grounds (fish ponds) were unique and very interesting. Saw lots of fish. Nice pool & beach area. Also great beach for snorkeling just a short distance down the beach past the fish ponds. Locals said it's called "Homeowner's Beach" lots of fish

My husband and I stayed for 3 days prior to flying to Australia for a cruise.. The hotel was enchanting in every way. We rented a car and drove up to the valleys on the north end of the island. The drive was beautiful and the valleys amazing. Great spot all round. Carol

"Amazing vacation "condo"!"
When I booked this condo, I was expecting a small 2 bedroom apartment-like place. I booked this in a rush and hadn't really read details about it. One confusing moment was figuring out where to check-in. It wasn't clear that the check-in office was in one place, and access to the unit was in another. Google maps had taken me directly to a gated community. After a quick phone call, however, managed to quickly figure out the check-in place was just a few minutes away and was able to check-in with no issues. As we drove through the wonderfully maintained gated community and up to a house with its own garage, we were pleasantly surprised to walk into a very spacious 2-story home! The community isn't beach front property, but we were given free access to a nearby beach which also gave us easy access to one of the best restaurants in the area, Napua. We LOVED the house, and it was within driving distance of other great beaches like Hapuna so we never felt like we lost out. We also had access to a free shuttle service that would take us to the beach, nearby marketplace, and 2 other hotels with beach access. It's definitely THE BEST vacation "condo" I've ever stayed at! And the price we got it for? What a steal! We took a lot of pictures in and around the house, and friends are already showing their interest in staying there should they ever visit the Big Island! Oh, and the customer service? Super friendly and helpful! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

After landing in Kona, We did the usual stock up on supplies because as usual the hotel was no were near a store . Then we checked in to Fairway Villas Waikoloa and was immediately amazed . This is how a restful retreat is supposed to look like . Spacious rooms and all the comforts of home . Not to mention that if you need supplies , ie Food and drink . They are a walk away. It’s perfect .. And yes there is a quiet time 10-8 pm ..

"Great resort"
The hotel is beautiful with so many things to do. There are large sea turtles and many colorful fish to watch in the lagoon. There are Dolphins to observe at Dolphin Quest. There are many different kinds of birds. There are activities like hula and yukele lessons, as well as, lei making. There are talks on Hawaiian culture. There are water slides and snorkeling. There is beautiful oriental art and statuary everywhere. There are lounges by the water for wave watching. There is a tram and boat ride to get around. We went the middle of November and crowds were minimal. We were able to enjoy all the amenities.

Kawaihae is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Kawaihae, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Kawaihae hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
