"Excellent "
Comfortable beds, beautiful view, excellent service. We had no issues while there and were treated very warmly. Saw a sign that read that they were the only family owned hotel on the islands. This hotel is right at the end of the very busy part of Kona so is within walking distance of everything on the bay but also was very quiet. I loved Kona and would stay at this hotel when visiting again in the future.

"Pleasant, Humble Hotel"
My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we really liked it. Our "room" was essentially a condo with one bedroom and TWO full bathrooms, which was convenient. It had a full kitchen too, which was nice so we didn't have to eat out every single meal during our trip. The living room area was spacious and our lanai was a nice spot to chill and watch the ocean crash against the rocks. I saw other reviews complaining about the rooms and furnishings being old/outdated. This may be true, but everything was clean and still in good condition. If you're not hung up on having fancy decor then you can get a good deal staying here. One other caveat: we used this hotel as a place to crash at night and in between activities while enjoying all that the Big Island has to offer. If you're just looking for a resort-style hotel to hole up in, or a hotel already on the beach, then this is probably not a good fit for you.

"Treat me like I am special."
Staff is very accommodating. We had a massage scheduled and four hours prior to the appointment we asked if we could move it up an hour. No problem! That kind of service was everywhere.

"Spacious and well equipted"
It was so pleased to stay this hotel. We could make our own meals. Very spacious and well equipted. Laundry machine and drier also very good. But I dont like the shower. The water comes out very weak.

"Good value condo near beach"
Picked this condo mostly due to price. Traveling with family made having a kitchen for breakfast a must to save some $$$. Condo had a washer and dryer in it which was a pleasant surprise as most places don't have that. Kitchen was stocked with all the stuff needed to cook, all you need to buy is whatever you want to prepare to eat. Room was nice and had an ocean view. Another great thing about this condo was the location, you are able to walk a few minutes and be right in the middle of shops and food.

"Close to amenities and restaurants."
Nice spot. We got some pretty crazy weather so we probably didn't get out as much in the area as we'd have liked. Great to wander out by the shoreline and watch just sealife in the little rock pools. Convenient to wander out and get meals (if you don't want to take a car out constantly)

"Great place to stay with larger families"
Great place to stay especially with a family of 6. We had a unit with 2 bedrooms with king size beds and a pull out couch in the living room. The unit also had 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, an outside dinning table, and a washer and dryer in one of the bathrooms. The jet soaker tub was a plus in the master bedroom. The morning we checked out they told us that we could still use the pool and that they would give us a room to shower in if needed. Wishing walking distant to beach and shops.

Kailua-Kona is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Kailua-Kona, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Kailua-Kona hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
