"Great quick get away that was easy"
The property is well done from a landscaping and layout perspective. The pools are amazing and you also have access to the beach if you want to swim in the ocean. The restaurants on-site are fabulous and you have a choice. I booked this vacation in a month before I went as a get away to relax and I got all that I wanted. There is an adult pool, great gym, and options onsite for spa and water activities. And, its very easy to rent a car for the day if you want to meander off to a coffee farm or local beach. The staff are courteous and ready to help you with every need.

"Stay at Uncle Billy's"
Enjoyed staying at Uncle Billy's. Nice breakfast. Easy to get to my room. Used to stay here frequently when my children were small. Lots of good memories. I live on the Big Island and appreciate all the warm sun of Kona. Everyone was welcoming and friendly.

"Quiet Beachside Oasis"
I was very pleased with the facility, grounds and location. It is located on a quiet part of Ali'i Drive, but not too far from the busy downtown. Ample parking and much of it is covered. The grounds were pristine. The gardeners take great pride in their work. The condo was very large and had everything we needed for a week-long stay. We could prepare meals in the full size kitchen. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom. The only downside is that this is a very dated and well-used facility. The carpet had stains and snags. The grout in the tiles was dirty. The drapes had seen better days. These conditions did not ruin my trip. I would stay there again. I think the bank of rooms reserved for Expedia customers is the section of rooms that have not been updated for years. Perhaps if one were to book directly with the facility, the room would be better.

"Great safe resort"
I arrived at the resort after midnight, but had o problem finding it. The front desk lady was very nice & everything was in order for us. She directed us how to get to our room. The room was quiet & room darkening shades so that I could sleep in a bit in the morning. Sat on the deck & had coffee in the morning watching the ocean & beautiful birds coming on the deck to see us. The room was very clean & spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. It was complete with a full kitchen, pots, pans, silverware & anything you would need. Even had a washer & dryer.

"Convenient to center of town"
This was my 3rd year in a row staying at this hotel. I was put in a room on the street side and it is very noisy early in the morning. On my very last day, I was awoken to scraping on the roof above my room at 7 am. Apparently there were workers on the roof and dust was falling freely. I was unable to enjoy sitting on the balcony and enjoying my last morning.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
