"nice place but a few problems"
have stayed here before and loved it, but his time it appeared we were given a condo that had not been stayed in for a while, there were spider webs going from the lights to the ceiling, spider webs going from the a/c in the living room to the curtains, there were many bugs in the condo including several cockroaches that we killed and showed the front desk, the shower in the master bedroom did not work , so we had to use the one in the second bedroom, we did not complain because we where only staying there a couple of days this time and pretty much just sleeping there and leaving all day. we did tell the front desk and they would have credited us back for the stay but since we booked it through Expedia they would not........

"Aston Shores at Waikoloa, Unit 11- 202"
This was our second stay at the Shores. The grounds and pool area have been well-maintained and are still lovely. Parking was plentiful and convenient to our unit. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, as were the maintenance folks (they promptly responded to an issue with our laundry closet door.) We stayed in building 11, unit 202. The unit was on the second floor and was large and clean with a great lanai, which we enjoyed very much. Overall condition of the unit was decent. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable. The living area furnishings appeared to be more suited for outdoors (seating was uncomfortable and sofa too small to stretch out on.) The kitchen needed updating - appliances appeared to be worn out (inside of dishwasher rusted, loud compressor on the fridge, cracked microwave door) and the cabinets were pretty beat up. Kitchen provisions also weren't great (we wound up purchasing our own skillets and tupperware as well as coffee filters, basic spices, etc.) We were a bit frustrated with the wireless (very slow with limited range.) As others noted, foot traffic can be heard above - we had a heavy footed woman staying above us who liked to stomp around at all hours of the night (I wound up leaving a note on her door.) Overall, we enjoyed the property and would probably stay again - however we would likely go with a third floor or villa unit and rent directly from an owner so we know what we're getting up front.

"Pretty Good"
Nice amenities but no blanket for couch bed. Room was freezing. Back sliding door was never locked and we didn't find out until the last day.

Condo was very nice. When on vacation in don't tend to stay in the room but when I came back the condo was inviting. I would stay at this establishment again.

"Nice big hotel if that's what you are looking for!"
Hilton Waikoloa is a nice, clean and grand hotel one the sunny west coast of Hawaii. As other reviews mentioned, it is huge and seems to be built with a vision of impressing the guests with its grandeur. The long walk ways between the lobby area and other corners of the site is decorated with pieces of art, paintings, historical findings and more. But if this expansiveness of the hotel is sometimes felt to be impractical. If you need to quickly grab something from your room in a hurry, be ready to walk or be ready to wait for the shuttle train for many minutes. Usually walking will be faster. And if you have to do this several times a day, then you start to question why the hotel is built so expansive. Also while parking and breakfast is paid up front, be ready to find an over-filled parking lot (i.e. no spaces left for you unless you keep driving in circles under sun to find someone leaving and grab his spot) and over-crowded breakfast hall (long waits in line to find a table and further waits in line for omelets). Overall, experiences like this resulted in a less-than-ideal stay for us.

Waikoloa is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Waikoloa, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Waikoloa hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
