"Excellent "
Comfortable beds, beautiful view, excellent service. We had no issues while there and were treated very warmly. Saw a sign that read that they were the only family owned hotel on the islands. This hotel is right at the end of the very busy part of Kona so is within walking distance of everything on the bay but also was very quiet. I loved Kona and would stay at this hotel when visiting again in the future.

"Beautiful hotel next to the beach "
First time in Hawaii couldn't of picked a better hotel love the friendly staff. But my favorite was the pool right in front of the beach with a super loaded bar! Definitely thinking of going back and staying there again.

"Wonderful Resort right on the Beach"
We stayed here for my partner's 35th birthday. The staff was extremely accommodating, especially those working the valet station, and were always pleasant and very helpful with suggestions. I chose this hotel primarily because of its location on the almost always sunny Kohala coast, and also because it is one of the only resorts with immediate and sheltered sandy beach access. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room kept spotlessly clean. The grounds are large and perfectly maintained and provide an excellent backdrop for evening walks. Not to be missed is stopping at the grocery store in the resort shops to pick up fresh poke & local beer for breakfast/lunch/dinner, can't be beat! The only real negative was the resort restaurant CanoeHouse. It is extremely overpriced for the quality of food, there are much better options just a short drive away.

"This is place to go when visiting the Kohala Coast"
This hotel has a staff that goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, upon check in your greeted with passion orange juice and a cool towel. Just Top Class treatment from the front desk, cleaning staff, bell hop and every staff member you see is friendly and says Aloha. The views of the ocean from here are just amazing, everywhere you go on the resort is just a wonderful view. The room was awesome, we had ocean front on the 9th floor. Bathroom is big and the towels are thick and fluffy. Very clean spacious room, the balcony was great, you can sit out and here the ocean waves and see the amazing stars at night with the music from the restaurant (live Hawaiian singer). The beach is right outside of the hotel. So convenient. They have towels for you to use for the pool and beach. Food at the resort is expensive but we knew it going in, we only visited the café, Ocean Terrace and the Beach Bar so I can not say about the other fine dining restaurant. Ocean Terrace had a good buffet, pricey but good. You can order ala carte items if you wanted. Beach Bar was just ok food and quite expensive. Drinks were ok. In the café the coffee was really good, I had some of the best Banana bread and cupcakes ever from there.

"Pleasant, Humble Hotel"
My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we really liked it. Our "room" was essentially a condo with one bedroom and TWO full bathrooms, which was convenient. It had a full kitchen too, which was nice so we didn't have to eat out every single meal during our trip. The living room area was spacious and our lanai was a nice spot to chill and watch the ocean crash against the rocks. I saw other reviews complaining about the rooms and furnishings being old/outdated. This may be true, but everything was clean and still in good condition. If you're not hung up on having fancy decor then you can get a good deal staying here. One other caveat: we used this hotel as a place to crash at night and in between activities while enjoying all that the Big Island has to offer. If you're just looking for a resort-style hotel to hole up in, or a hotel already on the beach, then this is probably not a good fit for you.

Kona Coast is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Kona Coast, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Kona Coast hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
