A beautiful place to stay when visiting Orkney. Ideal location to get to all the sights. Accommodation was perfect and Albert and Aileen couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

This hotel was very convenient for a stay off the ferry from Scrabster. It was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The manager Bryce gave us excellent recommendations for dights to see at the south end of the island and where to park on a weekend in Kirkwall. Such a unique setting and quiet.

Absolutely amazing location, and great host. All the appliances worked (and we cooked frequently in the kitchen that offered space enough for 2 to be comfortable). The bedrooms at the top of the stairs were compact but had a table and chair in each, for those who need laptop or writing space. The living room was cozy. (The toilet was a bit loud, but nothing egregious.) The LOCATION was fantastic. I was concerned that possibly there would be noise from the harbor across the street…nothing. Ships came and went. There’s a good bakery, amazing butcher shop, and at least one charity shop (and museum) within walking distance, let alone a Co-op for all basic necessities. Would be glad to stay here again! Much prettier than Kirkwall.
