A lovely hotel with great staff who are very welcoming. We didn't have the set everything dinner but we're given lots of recommendations for places to eat. Breakfast was lovely. Overall well worth a visit.

"Fantastic hotel in a unique setting by the sea"
The hotel service and food was excellent. In the unique setting of Portmeirion village this really is a perfect place for a short break. The spa was very relaxing, I was not tempted by the outdoor pool in March! Stayed in a village suite with fantastic views across the bay, with complimentary sherry in hand and the Italian themed buildings, felt like I was abroad. Definitely will be back.

"Nice stay, ideal for short breaks"
This hotel is ideal for people who want a nice relaxing break away, We stayed here to travel to zip world over 2 days which wasn't too far and the price of the room was as expected. The rooms were clean and a comfortable temperature. We arrived after check in had finished (23:00) but as I had contacted them due to a delay, they agreed to stay over which i thought was fantastic. Overall a good experience and would stay again.

We stayed here for four nights and would have no reservations about returning. The quality of the food we had was excellent, we didn't use the 2 star menu so i can't comment on that but everything else we had was great.

"Old hotel in lovely Criccieth."
I stayed two nights whilst attending a rock festival down the road in Pwehelli. The hotel is old but well maintained. The single rooms are small but were fine as I didn't aim to spend that long in them. They give you complimentary ear plugs for sleeping as they say that the hotel creaks but noise was only a problem when my neighbour was coming and going. They have a nice lounge and garden and the dining room is an ample size for what was a pleasant breakfast. The bar seems popular with locals. The car park is only small and we got back late at night so had to squeeze in to unlikely corners, but got in ok. Everywhere was locked up tight with no one on reception after midnight, but you have a key to get in the front door. The place is very well located, the beach is five minutes away and a choice of restaurants and cafes even nearer. I'd recommend to stay here as it is good as any of the other hotels in the area and a reasonable price.

The Management Centre - Bangor Hotels

The Management Centre

College Road, Bangor - Map
"University residence close to the city centre"
Stayed for three nights so I could go walking in Snowdonia while my wife was on a course at the University. Pros The accommodation is clean, well maintained and furnished to a similar standard as a Premier Inn. Friendly and helpful staff. A comfortable bar area and restaurant on site that served a good buffet breakfast. Parking on site and close to the city and University. The Pontio Centre at the University a short walk away has a good reasonably priced bar, food and entertainment. Cons The double rooms are very small for two people. There is a small wardrobe, desk and a chair with not much space to put bags/clothes if you are staying more than one night. This is university accommodation primarily for courses at the business centre, other guests are there to fill spare capacity and the University has first call on facilities. The bar is billed as for a business group and may be closed to guests for private events. The restaurant may be closed for events and coffee shop is not open weekends. If you don't need to be in the centre of Bangor you will probably find better facilities significantly cheaper just out of town.

Gwynedd is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Gwynedd, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Gwynedd hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
