"A place to savour"
Portmeirion is the outcome of an inspired vision by Clough Ellis. It is a place of tranquility and a place from which to watch the changing patterns of light across the village and the estuary as the day passes. The rooms are tastefully decorated and extra thought has been shown (such as the free carafe of sherry) and each has a view to enchant the eye. We ate at the fine dining option within the hotel. Beautiful food (and I would recommend the Huai Pinot Nor from New Zealand) well presented The breakfast options are also excellent.

"A hotel in a grand stone manor house"
Our room was comfortable and very well equipped. To begin with I found the size and grandeur of this award winning hotel slightly intimidating. The welcome and professionalism of the staff soon made this a really relaxing enjoyable stay. The food was excellent, with something for every taste at breakfast. The interiors, gardens, grounds, surroundings and location are all beautiful.

"Cute, convenient, great value for money"
Absolutely loved this place. After a long drive I was welcomed with a lovely cup of tea. My room could be accesss easily from the outside meaning it was easy to come and go as I pleased. Room was fairly small but had everything in it that I needed (apart from the WiFi code .. remember to ask for it when you check in). Breakfast was delicious and there was lots of it. Also well signposted from the post code. Had a great stay, and I’d definitely go back.

"Room smelled clean"
Reception friendly and humourous, the bar was a friendly place, the room was clean, and smelled clean, the towel was huge, the bed was comfy, the breakfast included was a la carte for the British choices, and by buffet for cereals, yogurts and fruits. Very nice and friendly experience.

"home from home atmosphere"
We have just stayed here for five nights and had a most relaxing time. Liz and Simon made us feel most welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts are excellent and although there is a menu, this is not fixed and the various offerings can be adapted to taste. Evening meals are made to order and the owners just need to know at breakfast time so that they can get out and buy the items needed to make the meal - the ingredients can be discussed so that you know what you will be getting that night (7.30 pm). We would recommend this establishment to anyone. The only down side is the width of the entrance - narrow! although there is nothing that can be done without demolishing the cottage next door.

"Charming hotel in the heart of the Mach Loop area"
We only spent one night here but our stay was quite nice and would come back! Gordon and Michelle were very welcoming. we stayed here primarily for the location, within two miles of Cad West, a primary viewing location to photograph low-flying fighter jets. We enjoyed the setting, facilities and country charm. Our room was well appointed and roomy, so was the bathroom. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious - both dinner and breakfast. Interned was only available in the bar area, but we knew this at the time of the reservation. This can be a bit challenging when you are on the road and making travel plans as you go. We managed and survived. The no TV in the room was not an issue for us. Our room was next to the motorway but the double-pane windows kept the noise away. We truly enjoyed our stay and wish we had more time to explore the area.

"The quentessential bed and breakfast. "
Seriously. When you envision the ideal bed and breakfast... you're envisioning the Pandy Isaf Country House. Secluded, comfortable, and welcoming. We enjoyed reading in the common living area and loved falling asleep to the relaxing sounds of the river just outside the window. Our hosts were wonderful! Sharon knew we had to leave before breakfast our last day so she made us sandwiches to take with us instead. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Fairbourne is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Fairbourne, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Fairbourne hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
