"HOtel with a fantastic view over the bay at Torqua"
I spent three nights at The Imperial. I came to Torquay to do the South Coast walk and some walks around Torbay. I had a fabulous room - more suite than a room with a hallway, 2 wardrobes, a good sized bathroom and a large bedroom with balcony. This suite was great value for money.
I ate in the restaurant each evening and had breakfast in the dining room each morning. the food was superb especially the Beetroot gnocchi which was divine.
I felt I got great value for money and would certainly stay at The Imperial again.

We found this to be a very friendly hotel - we arrived 3.5 hours early and this was not a problem. The breakfast was excellant - freshly cooked for each guest. The swimming pool is lovely and warm and the bar is open throughout the day. We had room 7 which was close to the road and there was a lot of traffic noise in the early evening but was not problem during the night. The hotel is within walking distance of shops/seafront etc. We found this hotel to be very good vaue for money and would stay there again.

Rare pleasure to have hot choc sachets in the room. Shows attention to their customers. Being above the bar was not too bad and going home time was around my bed time. Bit surprised to see a snail trail under 1 of the other tables at breakfast. The cleaner arrived about the time i finished breakfast. View from the back looked like it would have been brilliant if the weather had been better and a bbq on the decking. Breakfast was decent. Car park was full with about 6 vehicles. No problem to park on the rd. Interesting approach roads. Bad weather the night I arrived so I was dodging the occasional frog in the river down the road.

Only stayed for one night, Ideal location in central Totnes, however, for the price would expect breakfast to be included. Excellent food downstairs in pub and reasonable prices. Staff were extremely friendly.

The Riviera comprises three main towns: Torquay is the most fashionable and popular with a luxury marina, good beaches, and family attractions including a famous Model Village and the Kent’s Cavern. Paignton is a more traditional English resort, boasting a superb zoo. Brixham is not only a picturesque fishing harbour but one of Britain's busiest fishing ports. The adjacent area, the South Hams, is known as one of the prettiest in England.
