Nice new rooms, good decoration. Only concern was that the indoor spa had sooooo much chlorine fumes, almost got poisoned, withing 2 minutes.... Avoid! Otherwise there's a very pleasant outdoor spa, and a pool that's very warm even in the heart of winter! Beautiful stay

"Pleasant, low key, economical"
Nothing fancy here, and some quirky aspects and showing of age, but most everything totally acceptable. That is my style, as it must allow them to price reasonably, allow you to overlook minor missteps, and not give you inflated expectations. Restaurant food: good, at good price. Pools very nice. Clientele seemed very low key and pleasant, as were staff. Spa was probably the weak point, kinda dank. Spa pricing is good. My first-ever oatmeal body treatment was so-so. None of the claimed aromatics in the wrap that I could detect, no skin benefit, and definitely shorter than the advertised 50 minutes. I'd try massage if I go back.

"Luke Warm Spa"
I found the mineral water pools to be only luke warm which undermined the experience. Our room was spacious, clean, and the bed was comfortable with lots of stuffed pillows. The sliding door to the bathroom was noisy and did not provide a feeling of privacy. The bathroom was spacious and the fixtures worked and were modern. There was a bounty of fast hot water. The restaurant was reasonably price and the food and service was excellent. That being said, I would suggest your driving into Palm Springs for dinner and a walk along the main street on at least one of your days. The massage services were excellent and fairly priced. I STRONGLY suggest you take a day trip the Joshua Tree National Park, which was just spectacular. The hotel room walls are paper thin, creating a situation where you can actually hear the conversations of your neighbors.

"very relaxing"
the rooms are very well maintained. very clean, but could use some upgrading. the bathroom was up to date, but not the rest of the room. we had a room with a kitchen, with dishes, silverware, pots and pans. it was very comfortable. the highlight of the stay was the mineral water pools. i absolutely loved the pools!!!! the maintenance of the outside was very nice. i would definitely go back.

"Family hotel with a spa pool"
If you take into account that the hotel is very reasonably priced it is quite good. It has a lovely springs pool which is very warm. The rooms are quite large with a kitchenette. There aren't any implements in the kitchen so you have to take your own. They also have several BBQs around the pool area for general use which is nice for families to share and keep costs down. The reception is like walking into a Flintstones hotel as it is cut out of rock (or seems to be). We were on the ground floor and the patio door didn't open (for security reasons) and without any windows we couldn't have any ventilation during the night. They don't do breakfast. Just coffee available.

"Inexpensive motel with great pool and jacuzzi"
I found the staff REALLY helpful and nice and a minor issue with a leaky showerhead was fixed immediately. The breakfast coupons (for an off-site restaurant) were great - the restaurant has very good food (try the breakfast burrito and french toast!) and is pretty close to the hotel - long walk or short drive. The pools are fabulous - much nicer to be in than it looks from the pictures, with some nice cabana things in the pool area, which isn't the prettiest in the world, just go float in the water and you'll be happy. My room was very big, older but nicely repainted, with the hardest bed I've ever slept really well on - I can't explain it. Some noise from the pool, road, windstorm, etc - it's not the quietest hotel, nor the darkest - the blinds let in a lot of morning light. If you go in expecting a cheap, no-frills place to stay (like a budget motel) you'll be pleasantly surprised. If you go in expecting a Spa and Resort, well, it won't feel like that. I would stay here again for a cheap, pleasant getaway, but I wouldn't consider it a lush, relaxing treat type of place.

Desert Hot Springs is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Desert Hot Springs, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Desert Hot Springs hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
