"Love Springhill Suites"
Booked this hotel, based on a pleasant experience in Phoenix, and I was not disappointed. Susan at the front desk was great, and I love that they serve free good coffee and lemonade in the lobby through the whole day. They also had cookies, which my nephew grabbed the last one of. The room, itself, was very clean and spacious, with it's large couch and desk and mini kitchen area. They only have an indoor pool, but customers are allowed to use the outdoor pool and basketball court at the hotel right across the parking lot. Breakfast was very good, with eggs, ham, muffins, fruit and other items, with a large seating area. Also, tons of restaurants on the main strip, many of which are walkable, including a Haagen Dazs ice cream shop two doors down. Short ride to historic Williamsburg, Merchant Square and William & Mary College, which I stopped by and took a walk thru. Very nice!! The entire area, for that matter, was very nice and clean and new looking, as most buildings in Williamsburg are made of an orange-red brick, which gives the whole town a clean and uniform look. And with the historic village, and the college and the nearby military all right there, everyone I encountered was extremely pleasant and nice, and it just seemed like an overall great place to live or even just go to school . Definitely a nice change of pace from NJ.
