lovely hotel and great value for money

The hotel is pet-friendly, which was a big plus for us, and our dog was made very welcome. The staff were friendly and helpful, but a special mention has to go to Christine at reception, who was exceptionally kind, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was particularly comfortable. As the hotel is right beside the harbour, there was some noise from the road and boats, even with the window closed, but this is understandable given the location. Breakfast had a good selection and there was plenty of choice to suit different tastes. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Hotel Tara. We would be happy to stay again, especially when travelling with our dog.

Parking was not easy but doable, food and service excellent. Our beds were soft and didn’t sleep great but could do with some further updates in the room. Thanks

The fitness room is small but adequate. The breakfast was delicious, beds were comfy and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Staying at Woodhill house was like a step back in time. We stayed in the coach house, 17th century! We walked into the village for supper. And had a great evening. Breakfast the next morning was so well done.

Location is the primary reason why I booked this hotel. It is in the heart of the city. It’s few steps away from bars and restaurants yet still very quiet. The staff are very professional and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel.
