We stayed a Jamaica Bay during out college students move in weekend. What a great place to stay for a somewhat stressful event. Nice to come back to the hotel and have a glass of wind on their great patio, sit by the fire and unwind. Great location, we took a nice walk down to Venice beach, short Uber drive to Santa Monica and close to LMU. Great location.

Needed a place to stay for a couple of days close to home (while maintenance was in process) and found this little gem. Nothing too fussy but better than I expected. Close to the beach so there's plenty to do.

This is the first time I booked a boutique hotel in la. Compared to business hotels like Hilton, I feel this one is more suitable for family holiday. The room could do with some update but is totally fine. The front desk and parking staffs are also very good. There is a parking fee of 10 per day but it's ok. Close to shops and beaches. Location feels very safe and nice.
coffee machine instead of kettle is not very convenient for me with child. The pods needs to be replenished only by calling room service. However, the room service does the job ok.
To sum up, you can spend more to get more luxury hotels but for a family holiday this one for its purpose.

Really enjoyed the hotel.
Had ocean view room on the very west side of building - nice view esp from shower - but the rooms face north and south so keep that in mind as its not a full frontal.
Rooms very nice - very good bathroom.
Great roof top restaurant and bar w spectacular views and a good scene at night.
Location superb. One block from beach zone - one block from promenade.
Gym is very weak. Bare minimum.
Staff were generally good - front desk okay, valets were great, housekeepers great. Concierge okay.
Need to rent bikes - not complimentary.
Value was as good as you will get for the area.

A historical Landmark boasts a wealth of history.
Rooms are clean and staff are helpful and friendly. Valet service with easy access to vehicle if need be.
We would stay again.

This hotel is good but not great. Location is excellent and lobby nice. Our "suite" was small and the balcony tiny. The room looked over the service yard of the adjacent restaurant.
The bathroom was big but had lots of empty space that would have been better off in the room.
TV guide did not work.

Life is a never-ending summer in LA’s Beach Cities. Redondo Beach and surfing are forever intertwined. On weekends, many Angelinos head to Santa Monica to relax in the ocean and hang out at the Third Street Promenade. The Getty Center, an art-world powerhouse, is nestled in the nearby hills north of Brentwood. Santa Monica’s neighbor, Malibu, is home to The Getty Villa and its antiquities.
