The front desk staff is phenomenal! My room however had a musky of odour and very noisy(1st floor). Breakfast was mediocre at best even though it was complimentary.

Nice hotel!

Our second visit to Shade and it was as good as the first time. Nice, clean and comfortable room with a view of the harbor. A bit pricey when you add in the parking and resort fee. Hotels.com says the price quoted is all-in, but you’ll be hit with the extra charges. That kinda bugs me. (I guess you could try and find parking off-site). Only a few options for the included breakfast, but decent. A few dining spots within walking distance, but this time we chose to drive just a few minutes to a restaurant downtown(?). Lots to choose from. Overall, a great experience.

This is beautiful property right on the water in Redondo Beach. Redondo is a bit quieter than some of the other beach towns so it's perfect for a couples getaway. The staff at Shade are friendly and helpful. Being a boutique hotel, they have several extra touches/amenities that you won't find at other hotels. The bed is super comfy, the room is spacious, very clean and well designed. Lots of food options nearby, including the Sea Level restaurant located onsite. We enjoyed our stay!

One of my favorite places the stay. The staff are awesome, the rooms are incredible. They have bathtubs on the balcony! Only dislike is they play Coldplay music in the lobby/hallways. 😜 This place is the best hotel in the area and even better if you’re a Coldplay fan.

I liked the location on marina and proximity to Redondo Wharf and Hermosa beach. I liked the outdoors feeling and choice of seating. I was disappointed there was not a pool for swimming. It was a lovely rooftop area with "jets hot tub". Relaxing but considering the size of the area a pool should be added. Also the added exercise room was not as expected. Also their amenity breakfast could be much better quality choices without more expense to them. We were charged $20 each. Especially since there didn't seem to be other options that close by.
