El Pueblo Lodge is a retro, old-time motel. Our king room with a kiva had a pair of red metal patio chairs and a bistro table just outside the door -- nice for enjoying coffee or wine. The room was large and clean. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of fresh and hot foods. Although I had reserved and paid for a king room with kiva, the front desk initially put us in a room with two queen beds (that also looked pretty big). They changed us to a king room when I pointed out that we had not been given what we'd paid for.

We arrived about 11am and asked if we could check in early. Staff was very accommodating and we got a room right away. Wonderful grounds. Great balcony room. We had breakfast the next morning and it was delicious and the restaurant was very pretty. Can't say enough about the ambiance. We will definitely come back me spend more time.

Only complaint is that I know I left my military ID tags on the bed. Came back when I realized I forgot them there after my duty day n was told without them even looking that I didn't leave them there. Like I said, I know they stayed on the bed.
