"home-like setting like a park."
Incredibly good complimentary breakfasts. Staff who seem to love to serve. Outside chairs great for conversations in the evenings. Good beds and my wife is normally very hard to please. This was our favorite hotel in our travels in New Mexico.

"Nice Hotel Very Close To The Lifts."
We loved this place. My husband and I stayed on 03/10/17 for his birthday. We had a wonderful time the lodge was very nice and right at the lifts. We didnt arrive at the lodge until late around 10:30p.m. they had the room ready for us with the key in the room. We really enjoyed the stay will be staying again.

"Older property needs some upkeep."
The owner was very pleasant until I asked him how the AC remote worked. He told me that it didn't work this time of year. ??? He said we were at 7000ft elevation (which is true), and we wouldn't need AC. Just open the windows. They were painted shut and we couldn't open them. We had to sleep with the door open, with a towel over the screen door to block out the light from the porch light. The TV reception was terrible. Maybe that is why there were so many VHS movies available.

"Relax"
If relaxing is what you want to do then Red River is the place to stay for a while. Wish we could have stayed longer but due to a winter storm warning for the region we decided to leave a day early. That was a great decision. The location, the view, and the price were exactly what we needed. There were a few things that could have been better. The gentleman at the front desk would have made a world of difference if he would have looked up to greet me when I walked in the lobby to check in. He actually asked me 2 questions while looking at his computer. The handle on the door to our room did not function properly and when we asked for the desk to help he said it was related to the cold. I don't think so. I woke up in the middle of the night to find our door slightly open because the latch didn't close properly. We thought it did but it did not. The bed was too hard. We visit Red River often enough to know we probably won't stay here again not because of anything except we have stayed at other places that are more pleasing overall.

"Nice hotel close to plaza shopping and restaurants"
Very clean, friendly and accommodating staff in a lovely/quiet setting. We were able to walk to galleries, most restaurants and enjoy one evening before dinner sitting on the patio. The Murphy bed was very comfortable.

"Location right on the Ski run, BUT"
As said great ski in / ski out location, but because of this getting to the hotel was crazy. YOU NEED A 4 WHEEL DRIVE, and they should tell you this in advance. We got in and our Jeep could not make it up the icy driveway. The staff was great, we called them and they came down to pick us up, so we left the car in the parking area at the bottom of the driveway. Also, there is a great short walk to the Taos Ski Valley village, BUT you have to walk on an icy trail, then across the slippery beginner run. It would have been good for the hotel to treat the trail or put down something less slippery. We almost fell several times and saw another guest fall. Luckily no one was hurt, BUT... The room we were in was very comfortable, clean and roomy with a GREAT View. The wood burning fireplace warmed up the room. the Kitchen was a little dated but worked. The two bedrooms are downstairs with only a very tight spiral staircase. Lastly, if you go to Taos Ski Valley, be ready for the altitude, man we were huffing and puffing, BUT the skiing was great, althought there was no fresh snow, some runs were icy and some with amazing. I would say we skied for 2 days and has some of the best runs i have skied in years.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Questa hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
