The lobby of this hotel is lovely. You feel as if you're in a well maintained, southwest styled establishment. The front desk personnel are accommodating. The personnel in the lobby gift shop are also helpful. The room itself was nice enough but not what I was expecting after seeing the rest of the facilities. It needs updating. There was a space in a cabinet for a refrigerator, but no refrigerator. Also, no safe. The morning views from the room of balloons floating over Albuquerque was a pleasant surprise.

It was a pretty good stay. Real quiet and comfortable. The only thing was i had reserved a spot for a king size bed and they didnt have any clean by the time i checked in so they just through me in a queen size bed without asking if it was ok. The front desk lady was pretty rude as well.

The location of this hotel is outstanding, just a block off the plaza. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. Sitting on the veranda in the afternoon and enjoying a glass of wine is very relaxing. The hotel provides water for pets on the veranda and there is usually some very friendly dogs and interesting people on the veranda. The hotel is very old and has lots of character.
