Another stay!

We returned after several years, still quaint, comfortable and fun to stay in an historic inn Our room needed more updating in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and ac was wonderful.

Room quite dated, but comfy. No coffee maker, fridge. Seems pets allowed, room wasnt bad pet smell wise, maybe not allowed in this room. Coutyards were a nice space, not necessarily well maintained. Overall, bar, restaurant and foyer were nice. Building probably need some maintenence. Very convenient to the shopping and restaurants.

Property fit in with the area. The bar was old (in a good way) and very unique. Our server was an attractive redhead from Idaho who was efficient and personable. We were upgraded to a King room which was huge and fit in perfectly with the Inn. Hotel was right in the middle of Taos.

The check in process was easy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only negatives are the only way to get ice for your room is to go to the bar, restaurant, or front desk. No mini fridge in the room or coffee maker. Coffee is free I. The lobby which is nice but… We were there in July and the room had a some bugs from the trees around the property. When told about this the staff made sure our room was rid of them! Great shade around the rooms and courtyard. Close to the plaza for shopping. We will stay there again next trip through.

The Taos Inn is a cool place for having dinner or a drink at the bar or enjoying the lobby entertainment. We loved the authenticity. The front desk attendant checked us in warmly and explained everything wonderfully. We had a wonderful server in the bar. She was so sweet. There was an unfortunate incident that happened while we were enjoying dinner/drink in the bar area... police activity at the front of the hotel prompted our server to ask us to move to a safer location (we were right at the window). We moved to the lobby... concerned, obviously, but okay. The room is where we had an issue or two. The bed. It really needs to be replaced. We could feel the springs. Really uncomfortable. Also, the air conditioner unit was extremely loud. I sleep with a noise machine at home, so I didn't think it would be a problem, but it was. It was way too loud. It made for a restless night, unfortunately... and a sore back. Check out was quick. Just dumped the key in a basket.

Great hotel and great location. My kids loved the pool and the surrounding area was great to walk to eat or shop. Our only issue was the AC in our room. It would stop working periodically. Fortunately, we had a window in our room so we just opened it up and it helped, but still, not something we wanted to do as the window led out to a hallway/staircase.
