My first impression of the motel was not the best. It is an older motel right in the middle of your tall, fancier hotels. I was not sure what I had gotten myself into, being a female who was traveling alone. The gentleman at the front desk reassured me that it was safe to stay. The building is very old and the rooms are dated, but very clean. If you want a place to stay close to D.C. and Reagan airport, that is inexpensive and has friendly staff, take the chance.

"Good on its way to being great. Exceptional value!"
This hotel is an excellent value. It is very close to DC. We had two rooms, both of which were modern, well appointed and clean. There are renovations being done that make getting in and out of the lobby difficult but once checked in we moved from the parking garage to our rooms with ease. They waived the parking fees as a courtesy due to the contruction going on which I think is a great gesture. The construction times were not a problem to us. The only thing that was a small nuisance was the AC unit in one room was a bit loud and blows strong even when set on low. You can walk to food within minutes. We found a great place called Mezeh (http://www.mezeh.com/) that's like the Chipotle of Mediterranean food a block away. I highly recommend this hotel and will be staying there again.

The room we were in had a handicapped parking space right in front of it. My wife has difficulty walking and we have the handicapped card for our car. It was great to be so close. The room was well designed and clean. Our only concern was the broken down chest that the TV was placed on. We wondered by Days Inn would have such a piece of furniture in the very nice room we had.

For a hotel this big, they have a CHEAP breakfast bar, coffee, cold hard boiled eggs, yogurt, two cereals(fruit loops, raisin bran or just one when they ran out of fruit loops first day there), oatmeal, raisin bread, white bread, cake donuts (dried out and cold). We stayed in a smaller hotel on the way there and they put on a much better breakfast bar. The air didn't work real good and the room felt warm. There was one working soda machine and it was empty. There were a few places around to eat lunch and dinner and access to public transportation was close.

The road to Arlington passes by the solemn Lincoln Memorial and leads to hallowed ground: the Arlington National Cemetery. This resting spot includes the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the graves of John F. and Robert Kennedy. Arlington County is home to other symbols of US military might, including the Pentagon and the US Marine Corps War Memorial, better known as the Iwo Jima Memorial.
