"Good hotel in bad part of shinjuku"
I really enjoyed the hotel itself. The staff was very nice, and the facilities were great. This hotel is in a bad part of shinjuku, but it is really close to the shinjuku station, so it was easy to get away.

I had a wonderful experience in this hotel and even added a few days near the end of the trip because we liked it so much. Very clean rooms and bathroom. The onsen was also nice as well.

"Nice modern hotel"
This is a wonderfully appointed hotel with modern design and a great location in the heart of Shinjuku. We had a very small room, but that was in line with our budget! The rooftop bar was a nice feature, and the cafe downstairs was good.

"Nice hotel in a great location"
Overall experience was great, I made my booking but had to change the dates so I wound up staying in two different rooms, if they could have found a way for me to just stay in the same room that would have been awesome but what can you do. The room was super clean and the staff were really nice. The second room I stayed in was on a women's only floor which came with a lot of lovely perks such as: complimentary skin care, extra toiletries, acess to a curling iron/hair straightner, as well as a facial steamer. The only thing that could have made it better wold be if they had more english tv channels. P.s. the tub is amazing

"Excellent Value, Location, Japanese Style/Size Rms"
A so-called "Japanese Businessmen's Style Hotel"...what does that mean? First and foremost, the rooms are small, but it's the cultural norm for this style of hotel. It's otherwise super clean, modern, and equipped with all the standard room amenities you'd expect, just in smaller scale. Women should note that they do have a dedicated floor for females only, the top 14th floor. The bathrooms are tight (but appreciate the Japanese style toilet:), and the closet and storage are minuscule, but you just quickly learn to make do. The staff are very warm and friendly, a lovely part of the experience. I also liked the array of bathroom amenities (again, normal for this style of hotel), and great vending machine offerings (uhh, beer!). The bed is firm and the pillows is rock hard, but I get the sense they must also be the cultural norm (?). I like that they have laundry facilities, but the dryers were very poor and took an excessive amount of time and money to get the clothing dry. Finally, I love the Shinjuku neighborhood. Endless endless food, nightlife, shopping and attractions in the's an impressive and very fun area to stay. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again.

"Location is great"
The hotel is a short walk from Shinjuku station and we have stayed there on 2 previous visits to Tokyo. Our twin room was spacious and had room for unpacking and storing cases which is quite rare in most Japanese hotels. The location is great for a short walk to the entertainment district and there are plenty of eateries closeby. We would stay at the Sunroute again for convenience and comfort. The beds are very comfortable and all in all a great stsay.

"Surprise! Bed bugs "
Loved this hotel and despite small room found it quite comfortable. However, the day before we checked out realized there were bed bugs in my bed! My ankles had a bad rash that affected my rating this hotel. Wanted to give it higher ranking but suffering from PTSD and can't sleep well!

Ageo is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Ageo, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Ageo hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
