"Romantic Castle perfect place to get engaged"
Langley Castle is a stunning place to stay and would highly recommend. Set away from the road in beautiful grounds you get a feeling of majestic elegance as soon as you enter the driveway. A genuine romantic experience to stay in a 14thC castle which is set in a 12-acre woodland estate. Received a warm welcome on arrival. Staff are friendly and helpful 10/10. Inside you are treated to a visual delight walking in the grand rooms with window seats and huge fireplaces. Beautiful artifacts makes you feel like royalty. The room had a wonderful 4 poster bed with old fashioned style furniture amazing. A window set looking out of the window. Yet an fantastic modern bathroom and shower room in cream tiles so you have the luxury of modern conveniences as well. The gardens have lovely seating areas, a fountain and peacocks lovely to walk around. Infact, the garden is where I received my proposal of marriage, beautiful ring and we are now engaged to be married. Simply a dream come true and would stay again.

"Village Hotel"
Nice hotel in village, front of hotel noisy during the night if window is open. You have to use a service lift, which requires going through the restaurant to kitchen area. Room clean. Staff pleasant. Front door does not open until 10am,and reception did not have the key.

Short stay but room was ok. Was in the new area near leisure facility. Colleagues stayed in old part of hotel and those rooms need modernising. Very dated and shabby

"Nice quiet guesthouse in central Hexham"
A large room with pleasant outlook (trees), having one double and one single bed. For my 2-night stay I occupied the single, being alone. Very comfortable, but it had no bedside table or shelf and no light or adjacent light switch: rather annoying having to get out of bed to switch the main light off. Room was rather too hot and radiator control seemed to have no effect, so I slept with the window wide open. A very pleasant and quiet place - well, the stairs creak, but it's an old building. The only sour note: I had paid in full in advance with Paypal but the duty staff didn't know that on the morning I left and asked for my credit card details - no way - so I had to reopen my case to find the Expedia printout and wait for it to be confirmed. This was embarrassing and held me up when I was in a hurry to meet friends. I think staff ought to know who has paid. That said, I would probably stay there again as it's an interesting old house tucked away from traffic but right in the middle of town.

"Wedding Event"
A well appointed hotel set in beautiful surroundings. Room was spacious and spotless. Rates were on point. Only comment was the slightly dowdy decor in the bar area which could do with renovation. Bar seating in the window areas was old and and slightly oderous. Overall I would return without hesitation.

"Very convenient location"
Room was good size and had everything you need in good working order. It was easy to get to from the station and we were able to walk home from a night out, saving on taxis. I just wish the pillows had been softer, but that's my personal preference!

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Acomb, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Acomb hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
