The stairs are not going to work for those with accessibility issues. Stairs up to the lobby, stairs to the dinning area. Staff is fantastic.Mr. H in the evening helped me with my bags right away. Nina at reception. The morning crew were also vibrant with good mornings. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. I thought it was too soft but after 30 min it was perfect for sleep or power nap. There was no water my first night. Maybe because my I prefer membership was inputted after I checked.in. I asked for a kettle. The AC/Heat unit had rust on the grills ( room 502) bath towel bars too. There were bathrobes but no slippers. I always bring slippers but I thought this was a 4 star hotel . It was 3 star per google , 4 star per expedia. 5 star staff. The room is a little dated because of dark mahogany and energy efficient light is a little to dim. The desk in my room was across the bed so getting to the other side qas tight. They could've moved the desk to the inner area and moved the sofa by the window. Location is good to access sparks street, NAC , Rideu Centre. But the whole business area block is dim because street lights are low in the evenings. Everywhere in the Ottawa Downtown ( byward) had this dim lights. If you're used to Hong Kong, Tokyo , Ottawa feels dim/ dark. I would stay again if it was at a lower price. But the rust... I can stay elsewhere. Thankfully I had a tetanus booster. I panicked when I turned up the ac and the vent hummed to vent air.

Breakfast was supposed to start at 7am at the Chop restaurant however nothing was set up by 7:20. No staff to be found.

it is honestly one of the most beautiful places I've been to. I travel a lot and usually go for high-end hotels but the apartments in this motel are extremely pretty. I loved the retro vibe it is very spacious! Only thing is that the boutique and the restaurant are only open from Thursday to Sunday. I had a gift card of $20 with my stay, but I was there Monday Tuesday and Wednesday so I did not get to use it.

Great sized rooms with a nice patio to enjoy. Great location!
