"Quiet motel despite being next to highway"
I thought they were done with the construction I read about in other comments, but there was construction material on the front sidewalk and lawn. I hope that any improvements will not significantly increase the nightly rate because I prefer this motel over the Super 8 in Wentzville. The halls are wider at this motel, and you can cancel if you have to without losing your money. The only drawback is that this motel is just a bit further from the activity (obedience trials) in Wentzville than the Super 8. Also, you have decent valet trucks to use. It is obvious the motel could use some remodeling, but it is workable. The customer service is great when there is a person there, but after midnight until early the next day, there is no one at the front desk. A few downsides is that my room had a TV cable connection that was causing problems. You had to turn the tv on manually with the power button on the front of the TV, but you might not get the cable unless you pulled the cable terminal out of the cable box and back in. Also, there was no way to turn the over-bed light on the bed most directly in front of the TV because the switch was broken where you turn the light switch on and off. The carpet was stained, and I was sure hoping that the motel people realized it was already there and not a result of anything my dogs did. I took care of their potty needs outside. Though there is a bathtub, you can only take a shower. The plug, even the pull up plug didn't work.

Sometimes you need a cheaper hotel. Was good for the price. If they would open the pool it would be great. But that probably increase the price. It is what it is and was excepts kefir the price.

"You get what you pay for."
This is very much a BUDGET inn. We did have a "handicapped accessible" room on the first floor with a generous-sized bathroom. We had brought a portable commode, thankfully, but the tub was not equipped with a shower hose attachment or a seat. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room. Wi-fi was available but we had to call the front desk to get connected every time we needed it. The "continental breakfast" had stale donuts that reappeared every morning, presumable until they had either gotten moldy or consumed. There was coffee, but no sugar/sweetener/creamer. The indoor pool was not usable. On the other hand, the staff seemed friendly and the price was right for a place to crash after a day in St. Louis. Plus, it's convenient for getting on to both I-64 and I-70.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
