"More like a 4* than 3*"
Stayed here as we were attending an event at wintergardens. Arrived at 1pm and was able to check in and a room was ready. They had a huge wedding at the hotel and this did not have any effect on the service we received from staff. They were all friendly and helpful. Room clean and tidy with everything we needed. Breakfast ver good. Didnt use gym or spa but it looked good. Located right next to the zoo and a beautiful park. Its Between £8-10 for a taxi to the centre of blackpool ( tower, pubs etc). We will definitely stay here again. Great value.

"Stopover whilst driving from Hants to Scotland."
My wife and I opted for a luxury studio room and the room was superb with huge comfortable bed, separate lounge area with sofa seating and a huge bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle, there was two TV's available in the room but they were not used, so we were very happy with our room. As we stayed on a Saturday the hotel was busy as a wedding was taking place so parking was an issue but we managed to get a space eventually. The evening Dinner menu was very varied with lots of choices and the food we chose was delicious and good value, the restaurant staff were very slow with regard to service and attention to detail, taking orders and getting drinks (as an example being served the soup for starter but having no soup spoon) but as we were in no rush we were finding the disorganisation of the restaurant staff quite amusing...sadly the next morning breakfast was a complete disaster as tables left uncleared staff just stood around whilst people could not find a table to sit at for breakfast, we eventually got a waiter to clear a table for us which was painful to watch as he clearly had no interest in doing so (breakfast by the way was nice) but we had to eat breakfast surrounded by dirty uncleared tables whilst staff stood around and this was while guests were waiting at the door to enter the restaurant...the restaurant breakfast scenario did slightly mar our visit overall..

"A great hotel with well trained staff."
From entering to leaving this hotel a smile is never far from your face. The staff are terrific, the food is great, it is clean. In my lifetime i have travelled the world and stayed at top 20 hotels. Whilst the Big Blue is not up there it is unique in offering a special friendly service. We will be back again for sure, special praise to Kelly on reception and Jessica who runs the restaurant. Cheers George.

"Comfy old fashioned central hotel with character"
We just needed a bed for the night before an open day at the university and weren't expecting much because of the other reviews, but my son and I actually quite liked the experience. Yes it's in need of a facelift but rooms are spacious, comfortable and there is plenty of hot water. All we needed and the staff were nice

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Thornton-Cleveleys, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Thornton-Cleveleys hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
