"Looking forward to visiting again!"
I can't praise the staff and this lovely hotel enough. Our stay here was so very comfortable and enjoyable. The location is perfectly central to the township. The room was clean, comfortable and very spacious. The restaurant had a lovely ambiance and comforting English meals. The staff were exceptional and they couldn't be more helpful or welcoming. I look forward to visiting this part of England again and will definitely be staying here again!

"Great location - with Pendle Hill in view"
This was our first visit to Stirk House, which is located in a great position for visits to Pendle Hill and the Forest of Bowland, but also not far from the Yorkshire Dales, or the Lake District. Friendly welcome from very helpful staff, who sought out a little heater for us, as the weather had suddenly turned chilly and the CH wasn't on in our room, which was in the main building. Wonderful selection on the menu for breakfast. Would definitely recommend!

"Comfortable, a beautiful setting, a few issues"
This is a pub so no formal reception. However I was greeted cordially and given my room key, I was then shown to my room which was back outside and round the back, across a cobbled courtyard. The room itself was small but ok, Reasonably decorated and the bed was comfortable, bathroom nice with a walk in shower but no bath tub which surprised me as I had booked a high class room. There were some steps from the bathroom down into the bedroom. The bottom step had a completely different riser depth than the others and caused me to fall and seriously injure my ankle which really ruined my stay. Its several days later and I can still barely walk so take care if you book these rooms! I am a fit and healthy 40 something- my fall would have very seriously injured an elderly person. I ate in the hotel. Unfortunately on the evening in question the hotel was being used by a small business group whose leader appeared to find it necessary to share his mobile phone conversations with the entire village. The food appears to be fished based, and promised 'daily specials' however these were sadly lacking. In a restaurant that specializes in sea food I would have expected sea Bass and Plaice as a basic staple, these were nowhere to be seen. There was a savory selection as well, but I did want fish really. There are insufficient letters allowed here to describe the rest of my stay- so please look at Trip Advisor!

Clitheroe is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Clitheroe, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Clitheroe hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
