"Fab choice of accommodation"
Top experience with the hotel, room was clean and staffs were most helpful. Excellent location just opposite the beach and 20 mins walk from Morrison's. Plenty of parking space but since there was a wedding going on initially was hard to find parking.

"Perfect boutique hotel"
The hotel is lovely with great facilities. The food is great and extremely reasonable and my only very minor gripe is that the WiFi kept dripping put in the evening. It wouldn't stop me booking here again.

"Good services with competitive prices "
the hotel is located close to Tesco Extra and Stadium of light which is very nice place . it is 15 minutes walk from the city center . the breakfast was not included with the room booking. you need to add an extra 10 pounds for each person. they accepted to let me check in at 1pm instead of 3 pm which is very good. i do recommend that hotel .

"Nice hotel overlooking the sea."
Lovely room - suite over looking the sea. Good facilities, comfy large bed, great bathroom with jacuzzi bath, excellent range of toiletries, spotlessly clean. Good parking facilities. Bar prices for food and drink quite high i.e. Club Sandwich £11.00, Nachos £8.50, large glass of Chenin Blanc wine £7.25. Breakfast a bit of a shambles, first morning nobody explained how breakfast worked, no menu options given, we didn't know you ordered eggs from the waiting staff, the rest of the hot breakfast items are on the buffet table. Bacon ran out three mornings out of five, which meant you ordered your eggs, went to get your other hot items from the buffet, had to wait for bacon to be cooked which meant the eggs were cold by the time you got to eat. No Flora spread one morning, they had run out. One guest had to chase her breakfast up two mornings running, another guest ordered poached eggs, she got fried and had to ask for her tea twice. There seems to be no one checking that food items are not running out, or that guests requirements are being attended to in a timely manner - very irritating when you just want a nice relaxing breakfast.

"Quirky"
Our 4 nights stay at the Pullman was definitely an experience to be remembered. The motel-style accommodation is faultless, very clean and comfortable with all needs catered for. The main part of the hotel/pub is unique and very quirky with a railway station theme, featuring 3 genuine carriages, 2 from the Orient Express and 1 from BR. Breakfast is extra but the food is good, and served in one of the Orient Express carriages overlooking the sea, which was an experience in itself. My companion and I were visiting Seaburn for Sunderland Airshow, for which the location couldn't be better, and the owner Seamus and his staff are all brilliant and enhance your stay even more, with special thanks to Demi and Brittany for their extra care and attention, and of course to Seamus himself. In a nutshell, will we return? Yes, definitely.

Sunderland is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Sunderland, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Sunderland hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
