Great spot with lots of amenities and excellent location.

Bed bugs! All of us being bitten and we caught two bed bugs on our beds! I tried to contact the host and no answers. Since it’s 1am, we have no other places to go. Our next day’s plan is ruined because we need rest. It’s awful experience!We have to sit in chairs the whole night. I tried again contacting the host during morning. No answers yet! This is unacceptable and we request a full refund!

Absolutely great. The pictures don’t do the property justice. Very spacious, spotless clean, totally fell in love with the floors. The sauna and tub were spectacular, got some amazing aurora views while relaxing in both. The neighborhood was great, with multiple stores like Bónus just a few minutes away. The owner was super friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Staying at the UMI was a bit of a let down. This was the hotel I was most looking forward to staying on our trip given its location and beautiful architecture, but I was disappointed to discover upon our arrival that they were undergoing major construction on the property. We pulled up and had to park in the middle of a construction zone with an unpaved lot that required us to carry our baggage. They do have access to a black sand beach on their property which was about a 15 minute walk and a sight to behold, however, the one walking path was covered in horse patties the entire way and that we were continually having to dodge so we didn't step in one. Their brochure says its a private walking path, but obviously that's not true. A few other disappointments were the general upkeep of the hotel. One of the overhead lights in our room burned out while we were there, and of the two showers in the sauna, one of them was broken. They also did not have any instructions for etiquette in the sauna, and when we went in with our bathing suits, we were admonished by another guest for not bringing towels with us (something not usually required in the States). These may seem like small gripes, but when you're paying as much as we did to stay here (something we splurged for), collectively it made for a frustrating experience. I wished we had chosen to stay somewhere else. This could be a four or five star hotel, but they need to pay more attention to the details.
