"Great hotel in heart of Reykjavik"
New, clean, perfect locale, great kitchen with awesome coffee maker (including milk, sugar, and tea), luxurious bathroom with heated towel rack and rainfall shower. We were lucky and got a view of the mountain. Staff was very helpful with parking & restaurant recommendations. We emailed a few times the week before check in and they always promptly and curteously answered our questions with substantial recommendations. We made several day trips to different parts of the country from our home base at the 41. There is construction behind the hotel, but it did not bother us at all--there is really construction all over Reykjavik, so hard to avoid. We would definitely recommend the 41!

"Nice location for walking."
In very historic area but walking distance to the new town. It was booked as a stop over between Florence & flying home from Siena and was a much slower pace which is what we needed after the hustle and bustle of Florence.

"great stay!"
Absolutely perfect location. Walking distance to everything in Reykjavik! Just around the corner from the streets with all restaurants and shops. But around the corner meaning you don't get the noise from all the bars all night long. Our room was on the top floor though so that made it extra quiet. The deluxe room was a great size and the hotel amenities were great.

"Large place with kitchen"
We traveled as a family of 4, and a one bedroom apartment was enough for everyone. We liked the location it was a walking distance to main attractions. The kitchen was well equipped. However one of the reasons we picked the apartment was that they advertised a washer and dryer, but not all the units have it. The interior of the apartment was a little worn down, and outdated.

"Close to all the food and shops"
They don't tell you that four of the rooms have a sky light and no windows, we ended up with a windowless room. A little disappointed at first but the room had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. The kitchenette area was well equipped, the bathroom was stocked, and check in was easy. This was our first night in Reykjavik and the place was just what we needed. You do walk through the restaurant/bar to get to your rooms which was pretty neat, we went to sleep early so we didn't experience the food or drink. We weren't disturbed or bothered by the noise of the restaurant and I'm pretty sure all was quiet by 10:30. I'd stay again but request a room with windows.

"Town Center Hotel"
Nice hotel in the center of town with a nice restaurant. Close to all the other bars and restaurants. Virtually at the end of the High Street and walking distance to everything you need. We asked for a high room because of the reviews about street noise. We did still encounter street noise (shouting and laughing) on the first night around 4am but that did not reoccur. It does have secondary glazing but it was still loud enough to wake us both up. There was a fire alarm very early on our third night of our stay. It was false alarm because there was a problem in the kitchen whilst they were preparing breakfast but I'm just glad it was a false alarm because the staff DID NOT HAVE A CLUE what they were doing. All the guests were milling around in the foyer of the hotel in silence. No member of staff took charge of the situation and when the guests realized it was a false alarm they started making their way back to their rooms even though the alarm was still sounding. The staff need some training otherwise it could be fatal to the guests if there was a real fire. It made me feel uneasy for the rest of our stay.

"Centrally located!!!"
We stayed here our first night in Iceland and were pleasantly surprised when we stepped out to explore the city; everything is at your finger tips! No car needed to get around Reykjavik! The hotel was clean and cozy, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was good! There's a yummy hot dog stand right out front and the Microbar is right outside too, make sure to visit!

Reykjavik is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Reykjavik, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Reykjavik hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
