"Amazing lady on reception! "
Me and my partner have just returned late last night from the geo hotel. This hotel was very nice and I would reccomend for anyone to go. Shuttle to the blue lagoon we visited free by the hotel. There was one particular lady who was very very helpful in helping us get around and telling us the places to visit. Room was average (the beds not the most comfortable) and the rooms are very small but do have standard tea, coffee facilities. The hotel its self is situated in a very expensive part of Iceland, and if you are planning on going I would strongly recommend taking more than you're average small break away. The one thing me and my partner didn't do and wish we had was hire a car. The hotel is out of the main area of restraunts. There are restraints around which the hotel can and will recommend to visit. The manager is very friendly and the breakfast i would say is average. We managed to see the lights, (northern) but not fully out unfortunately, however the staff will give you a wake up call should they come out at early hours in the morning. We would defiantly re visit the hotel, but with a car hired this time. Thanks to the staff for a brilliant stay here.

"“Quaint, romantic, family-run hotel”"
It felt like we were being welcomed into a close friend or family's home for a visit. After a disappointing and underwhelming stay at the Ion Luxury Adventure Hotel, we were wonderfully greeted with this charming, family-run hotel that is a few minutes-drive to the Blue Lagoon! I love all the details of this lovely, lovely hotel! From the common room with a fireplace with complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate for all guests to the complimentary Christmas card that the hotel will send on your behalf to anywhere in the world, I could not be more delighted and happy that I found this place to stay on my last night in Iceland! We stayed in a double room, however there was an extra bed in our room (#30). The room was spacious and comfortable after being cramped at the Ion Luxury Adventure Hotel. Driving to the hotel was an adventure onto itself as we checked in around 10pm and the surrounding area of the hotel was dark (presumably to remove all light pollution to view the elusive Northern Lights). The common room with the fireplace was so cozy, I could have slept there if I didn't reserve a room! Will definitely stay here the next time around. Highly recommend.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
