"Gorgeous hotel, great welcome, some rooms dated"
Fabulous hotel, great welcome with a free glass of Sherry, public areas immaculate, great location in a lovely town that is well worth the visit. My room was a generous sized single room with a large bed, decor dated, but clean. Bathroom basic and in need of work, but overall I'd recommend

"Lovely hotel"
Beautiful hotel. We were upgraded to the loft which is easily the nicest hotel room we've ever stayed in. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and we had great cocktails at the bar. You won't be disappointed :)

"Lovely hotel, beautiful location"
I stayed here over night as my partner and I were visiting the Roman Vineyard for a wine tasting event. The hotel were extremely helpful as we arrived very early in the morning, they very kindly booked a taxi for us to the vineyard. On checking in later that afternoon the staff were extremely helpful. The room was tiny but tastefully decorated, our room looked out over the river to one side and gardens to the other. The bathroom/toilet was tiny with lovely toiletries and the only things against it was the size, if you have difficulty with mobility getting in and out of the shower could present a problem. My only gripe is that the tiles in the bathroom could do with replacing (some are cracked) re-grouting and cleaning, in particular the ones near the shower head. There was a wedding taking place but I was notified about this and it didn't detract from my weekend. The only complaint we did have was the price of soft drinks in particular a glass of lemonade £2.10p. When queried the price was confirmed as the going rate for the area. All I can say is it doesn't encourage anybody to be a designated driver. Can you imagine the cost of taking your family if this includes children out for meal it would certainly hike up the cost of the event. Other than that I would recommend a stay at the hotel.

"Father Day Gift"
My children got me a ticket to the Cosford Air Show, rather than having to get up early my wife and I decided to book a room near to the event. Expedia came up with the Bookatree Hall Hotel, after reading through the reviews and the proximity of the hotel to the event we went ahead and booked. The whole process was very easy and the updates from Expedia were very good and kept us informed. When we arrived at the Hotel the first thing that met us was the peaceful and beautiful location, one thing that did concern us was there was a wedding on. However our concerns were put to rest as the reception was held in a different part of the hotel and as for the disco noise we could not hear anything. the staff were friendly and nothing was too much for them if you had any questions or wanted any info on the nearest shops, petrol station etc. We decided to have a meal at the Hotel and I have to say the food was excellent and reasonably priced too. The room was very good and clean, my said it was one of the best nights sleep she has had in a long while. I would highly recommend the Buckatree Hall Hotel and if we go to Cosford Air Show next year this is the place where we stay at.

"Very good, 'traditional' small hotel"
Stayed here the night before the Anfield 100 time trial (bike race), with my wife. Very handy for Shawbury, the race HQ. Food was good, staff were pleasant if a little disorganised at times, and they were accommodating to my need for a very early (5.20 a.m.) breakfast, and they found a handy place for me to leave the bike prior to leaving. They also let me come back and have a shower in the early afternoon, so we also stayed for lunch. I would definitely stay again in similar circumstances and will be recommending it to my clubmates (there are a lot of time trial races around there); I guess the only issue would be if there was a wedding on. They clearly are very reliant on being a wedding venue, and if you were a non-wedding guest trying to sleep early, it might be a problem. This didn't arise for our stay as it was a Sunday bank holiday evening.

Shropshire is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Shropshire, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Shropshire hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
