Helpful staff, good breakfast

Clean rooms. Hotel a little dated in places.

Room was clean with a modern bathroom and comfortable. We didn't spend time in the hotel bar or restaurant but did have a drink outside where there were some tables for diners. Service was fine, but when we got up to leave the next morning the reception and bar area were all locked up (8:30am). In the end I had to call the hotel to find out how to check out and was told to just leave the key in the room and go. This wasn't really an issue for us, but it would have been better to be told of these arrangements in advance. We were only passing through Thetford and stayed on the way to an event the next day and it was fine for that, but Thetford itself was very disappointing to walk around. Not much there, no real restaurants and just run down pubs and cheap shops. Having previously stayed at Bury St Edmonds, the two feel worlds apart... As a place for a one night stop over it was perfectly fine but better towns are close by...

A really nice hotel for a special occasion, the staff were both friendly and helpful, while food was lovely. We stayed in the Boutique Suite, which was wonderful. The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars was because the jacuzzi bath had an issue with the plug, which meant we were not able to enjoy this as much as we would have liked due to the bath losing water. This was reported to reception. While the food was lovely, we were bombarded by flies in the restaurant, which was a bit annoying when you're trying to enjoy a nice meal. Other than that, we had a lovely stay and will happily return again in the near the future.

My stay at the dial house was perfect. From the moment I arrived to the day I left. It’s clean tidy and the decor is amazing. I had a great nights sleep in a peaceful cosy room. The breakfast was of a very high standard. I will 100% be staying again in the future

Staff were helpful and lovely. Room was clean, quiet and breakfast was good. Really reasonably priced too.
