"Overnight stay in Narita"
My international flight arrived late into Narita Airport so instead of another hour (longer if you don't take the NEX express) train on to Tokyo I thought I'd stay in Narita overnight. I am glad I did, Narita is a small (compared to Tokyo or Osaka) town, but there are plenty of Izakaya and Ramen restaurants a short walk from the hotel with one advertising an English menu which was handy my first night in Japan. The hotel is a short walk to the main street leading to the Temple precinct and the Unagai restaurants where some prepare and BBQ the eel right out of the tank. They start before midday and it's worth seeing if not upset by eel killed, prepared and BBQ right in front of you. Walking past the shops down the hill is a wondrous Buddhist complex dating back to the Edo period and is worth a few serene hours walking the precinct before heading to the noise of Tokyo.

It had a restaurant, money change machine for small purchases, everything we needed to get 12 hours sleep between flights. We also got to see the Hotel Chapel Christmas across the street.

Room was adequate for a one night stay. Shuttle was good left early in the morning for our flight. Pool was great, swimming caps must be worn in the pool, which they will rent to you for a small fee.

Loved the location - convenient to airport by taxi, subway, and hotel shuttle service. We opted for Taxi. Evening walk discovered wonderful Buddhist Temple Complex, which in late afternoon - early evening provide perfect atmosphere. The crowds were gone. Subway system in Japan is incredible. You can go anywhere quickly. U-tube instructions are helpful, but overwhelm. It's actually much easier than thought it would be.

"great hotel close to airport and train station"
love reading these other reviews about how small the rooms your homework, unless you want to be spending $200 US a night they are all small. Rooms were clean and everything worked. Staff were great and despite what people here said they speak more than enough english to help you. Only 2 things I could find that I had a problem with. First we stayed for 8 days there and they said we wouldn't get our bed linens changed during that time in order to reduce costs. In exchange they gave us 2 free water bottles a day. That was fine for 2 or 3 days but after that we really could have used clean sheets. However I'm sure if we asked they would have done it for us. Staff was very friendly and willing to help us anytime we needed it. Other issue was the beds. They were fine, just hard as a rock. Was like sleeping on a floor. For a short stay that is no problem but 8 days and our backs were in need of some tlc. Highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for reasonably priced accommodations close to Narita.

"A perfect introduction to Japanese tradition!"
We had a wonderful time! From the moment we arrived we felt welcome, the staff are so helpful & kind, especially with explaining everything that is new to us (which was pretty much everything!). The food experience is fantastic. The building has been well maintained regardless of its age, it is comfortable. The location is incredible- Narita is a lovely place & the temple/gardens are stunning, one of the best & oldest we experienced. It was our last night, so its proximity to the airport was also fantastic for us. Highly recommended for a great experience!

I had a 17hr layover in NRT, and found tobu hotel. The price of the stay was cheap. The hotel was nice and the food was delicious. Transportation to and from airport was execellent. The rooms were small but its japan what else would you expect. But overall stay was great, would definitely recommend.

Sakura is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Sakura, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Sakura hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
