★★★★☆ Good value for Reykjavík I had a very pleasant stay at 201 Hotel. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and it was cleaned every day. The staff were excellent — very friendly, courteous and attentive, and always happy to help. The main downside is the location. It’s in Kópavogur rather than central Reykjavík, and without a car it takes around 40–50 minutes to reach the centre by public transport. I used bus number 2, which is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel, and came every 30mins until midnight. The hotel and breakfast are fairly basic, but perfectly adequate. There’s also a shopping centre about a 10-minute walk away. One small thing to note is that there’s no phone or tea/coffee-making facilities in the room, which would have been useful. That said, Reykjavík and Iceland are very expensive, so it’s important to judge the hotel in that context. Overall, I found it to be good value, spacious, clean and comfortable, with particularly good staff. I’d happily stay here again.

My husband stated this was the best hotel he’s ever stayed it! Views are spectacular, breakfast every morning was amazing, bed was very comfortable, shower was great, and the storage was plentiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only issue is it was hard to find the entrance on a Sunday evening since the hotel is just the top floor of an office building and the sign is very small. We called and the staff greeted us in the parking lot to help us. Great experience, would highly recommend!

The hotel is totally self check-in and self check out so you don’t see a human being. We knew that ahead of time and it wasn’t a problem. The room was large. The bathroom was great. The whole hotel was very clean. It is very close to the airport so that’s why we chose it. I have to say that breakfast was a total fail. The coffee machine did not work, which is not a good thing where my husband is involved at 5:30 in the morning. The food was adequate at best, but the eggs seem to have been rotten. So bottom line good place to stay to be near the airport but very bad place to count on having breakfast.

Great place to stay. Exceptionally clean. Very nice spacious and modern space. Great location. Close to everything. Would definitely stay again.

Older property, could use some love: but all in all good. Well appointed kitchenette, bathroom and the bed was very comfy. Fairly easy to find, and in a decent location. A shelf or something for toiletries would be a good idea. It’s was noisy by the door( our room was right over the front door with pelo e coming and going a lot, but after a while you get used to that. Easy to get around that area. Bakery underneath the hotel
