"Convenient and comfortable"
We enjoy staying at this hotel. It has everything that makes staying away from home a pleasant experience. However, our meal on the second evening was totally out of character. We ate at the pub rather than the Verve restaurant and having had a very good meal the previous evening we were very disappointed. My husband order ham, chips and egg and instead of the carved ham of the previous evening he was served with thin sliced ham from a packet. He asked for his meal to be changed to fish and chips but by this time I had eaten my meal and therefore the whole experience of eating together was lost. We were offered a drink in compensation but we declined because we didn't want any more alcohol. The staff behind the bar made us a very nice cup of coffee though. Not something you'd expect from such a well run hotel. I hope it's an isolated case. We won't let this put us off and we will return.

"Perfect stay in a lovely city"
Excellent stay with our 8 month old son. The hotel was just what we were wanted central location, spacious room, clean, leisure facilities, free wifi, breakfast, bar. I would certainly be happy to return. We booked in for treatment in the spa which was excellent and relaxing and used the pool which was a great size. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious for the standard room which was great with the little one and all the extras needed for him. The staff were friendly and breakfast had a great selection. The bar was stylish and fairly priced for such a hotel. The city itself was surprising and has a lot to offer any visitor whether it be food, nightlife, shops or history. The parking was a little expensive but handy being just across the road. The only issue I had which is just a small fault, the highchairs we used for breakfast on the two mornings we stayed weren't too clean. If they had just been wiped over once used that would have removed the issue it was just a small point I felt had been overlooked on an otherwise faultless stay

"This is a quaint, small hotel located in Penarth."
With our early arrival, we had to wait a bit at the very-near bus stop for the business(pub) to open. We were allowed to leave our bags inside and go exploring the Cardiff area until the room would be ready. There was some concern about getting how we would get our large luggage up the stairs. However, upon our return that afternoon, our room was ready and luggage had already been carried up for us. The room was very nice, well-furnished, and had a private full bath. There were tea and coffee provisions, as well. Everything was clean. The room overlooked the schoolyard and road intersection, allowing us to see and hear local life. The pub downstairs was very traditional and seemed to have neigborhood regulars. Lunch and dinner were offered daily, so we tried it one night. The food was good and varied, but it took a bit longer to be prepared since it is a small business.

Pontyclun is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Pontyclun, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Pontyclun hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
