"A good time for the 5th year running"
Overall we had a great week's holiday here. The main points in the hotel's favour, location and the professional, welcoming nature of the staff throughout help to outweigh the minus points. Having stayed here now for the 5th time, I will not be staying in one of the old Classic rooms again. The hotel needs to update these rooms in some way as they are looking increasingly tatty despite the efforts of the housekeeping team. My shower was not working properly - most water still coming from the tap - and the curtain sticks to you when you shower. The bathroom ceiling was not solid, with an unattractive view of cables and plumbing bits. The balcony was very tired with a patio door that required some muscle power to open/ shut! Finally, on opening the wardrobe on arrival, there was a very musty smell. Feels like the hotel is 'milking' these rooms for as long as they possibly can. However, beds are super comfy, the aircon is great and the housekeepers do the best job they can. The pool area has been updated - however we preferred it before! It looks very smart (apart from the wooden perimeter fence) but is now lacking any character, or shade! The pool snack/ slushie hut has gone and you now have to order everything from the restaurant team. As a result we spent our daytime food budget in the beach bar. Breakfast is good in the refurbed restaurant, but we did not use it at lunchtime/ supper, as we preferred other restaurants outside where there's more atmosphere.

"Spoil my daughter's."
I took our 2 daughter's here for 4 night break and we arrived early to b told they had our room ready and it was fab. (Pillows could b softer but that's my preference) pool class no shortage of sunloungers. People put towels on luxury ones early but we did get a day on ones. Beach so handy. Food at pool bar crazy price but shop across from hotel. Girl at pool bar Rute lovely. Breakfast was great. Plenty choice. Wood go back. Really gud and central hotel. Didn't need taxi at all while we were there. About 10 mins stroll to marina. We were on 7th floor and spectacular view over beach. Quiet and peaceful. Loved it.

"Generally good one-week stay"
Good location for old town, station and waterfront. Staff mostly very good. Breakfast buffet very good (for Portugal). Lovely roof lounge/terrace. Rooms very nice. Not brilliant if beaches are a main part of your holiday in summer because you have to get either the hotel minibus (20/25 mins and remember to book in advance) or an overpriced boat to the Faro beach, or you have to get ferries to the 'island' beaches (but get there early to buy a ticket, and you can't book a place for the return in summer so be prepared to be stuck out there for 1.5 hrs waiting if they are full - or you'll have to call a taxi boat back). I think the hotel should make this clear to guests.

"Good Hotel very close to beach"
The hotel room was spacious, clean and quiet. The buffet breakfast was very good and there were plenty of staff available to clean away the dirty plates etc. The hotel was conveniently located for the beach. The hotel had a spa on site and osteopaths who were able to sort out a back problem that occurred when playing golf. I stayed at the hotel during August and the hotel was frequented by many families. This did mean that dinner in the restaurants could be noisey!

"Not able to use hotel facilities"
It was really disappointing to learn on our arrival at The Residences that we were not able to use the facilities at the Tivoli Victoria Hotel. We holidayed at Tivoli Victoria Hotel in 2015 & 2016 and loved the service and facilities there. As there were 5 of us going to Portugal this year, we thought we would try a stay in one of The Residences suites instead of the main hotel. We went to specific lengths ahead of booking The Residences to check that we would still be able to use all the Hotel services. We were assured by email that this would be the case. It was therefore most unsatisfactory to be told upon arrival at check in at the Residences that we could not use the facilities at the main hotel.

"Another enjoyable stay at Formosa Park"
We perhaps are a little biased, but we've been going to Formosa Park for quite a few years and it ticks all of our boxes! The location is excellent for the beach, but you do need a car to get to the local restaurants, bars etc I think it is worth highlighting the nearby beaches, which are quite honestly amazing, especially first thing in the morning when you will be accompanied by a few other walkers and runners and the sounds of the sea! The pool area is excellent, especially for young families, although our boys are a lot older and they really enjoy it also. We always use a family room and these are always clean and comfortable and have enough room for five people. My final comments are reserved for the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at Formosa Park. I cannot emphasise enough this last point; it makes your holiday so much more pleasant to deal with staff who consistently are looking after you and are quick to sort out any small problems/concerns that always crop up on holiday. Well done guys: brilliant, as usual!

Paraiso is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Paraiso, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Paraiso hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
