Stopped at hotel on the way to see Yosemite. Pretty on the outside, but lots of construction going on on the inside causing detours. Willing to excuse the construction delays, but several of the bathroom tiles were broken or loose causing a nusance

Spent three nights here. Accomodation overall is very nice. Good sized room with two queen beds that gave us room to live out of our cases. Lovely bear themed decor. Had a detached chalet type room set in the grounds of the house. Simple breakfast served in the main house. Very small thing, but if you like milk with breakfast bring your own as owner does not provide it, homemade cakes though are lovely.

Stayed for 2 nights with another couple. The lighting in our room was not enough. There was only one night table light for a 2 bed suite and the ceiling light was dim. There was not even a small table in our suite. There was no kleenex in both rooms. The power outlet was old and only one socket was working. However it is closed to the centre of the town and restaurants are good with reasonable price. The breakfast was okay, but my suggestion is: since there is a lady making pancakes, would it be more classy if she can make eggs to customer's order? The cost difference between 2 pancakes and 2 eggs is not that insurmountable.

At the southern end of the California Mother Lode in the Sierra Nevada, Mariposa County encompasses much of Yosemite National Park. The former gold-mining town of Mariposa is the county seat and lies 30 miles west of the park entrance. The town is home to the Mariposa Museum and History Center. The county courthouse, built in 1854, is the oldest continuously operating courthouse in the state.
