Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
We were very pleased with this property. It is huge! It is right on the river and I believe all rooms have balconies facing the water. The room was clean and the linens were fresh. Each section of the property as a pool, so there is no overcrowding at just one pool. We were pleased UNTIL the power went out for the entire facility. NO FAULT OF THE PROPERTY, but it made the second day of our stay absolutely miserable. PG&E caused the massive outage. We were left with a sweltering room, in the dark, no hot water, and were unable to ventilate because the screen door to the balcony had no screen. There were mosquitoes on the balcony. The hotel kindly compensated us for our misery, but I would like to suggest the following: screens for all the balcony doors, flashlights in every room, backup generators on the property. We would stay here again. Our unfortunate experience was PG&E's fault. Do not dine at the restaurant on the property! The wait staff is lacking in skills and hospitality, and the food is deplorable. We went to the breakfast buffet and even though the restaurant was almost empty, we were initially seated so close to the one occupied table is was if we were joining their party. The food is premade, cold, and dried out. Lots of carbohydrates, and only very greasy bacon, sasuage, and whipped-up-styrofoam eggs. The sour oranges were cut into akward wedges. Very poor! The price? $47.28 for two...and even that was rounded up to be $48!
